Abstract

Tanaman kopi (Coffea sp.) merupakan salah satu tanaman sektor perkebunan yang banyak dipilih. Tren yang sama juga terjadi pada petani di Kecamatan Wajak yang mulai menanam tanaman kopi, hal ini terjadi seiring dengan peningkatan permintaan kopi di pasar. Tanah di Kecamatan Wajak dipengaruhi oleh kegiatan vulkanisme, hal tersebut dilihat dari lokasi Kecamatan Wajak yang berada di kaki Gunung Semeru, sehingga menghasilkan bahan penyusun yang relatif memiliki partikel yang kasar, yang artinya memiliki tekstur pasir hingga debu. Ada tiga hal yang yang menyebabkan hilangnya nitrogen dalam tanah yaitu hilang karena tercuci bersama air karena drainase, penguapan dan diserap oleh tanaman. Selain faktor geografi dan geologi, wilayah rawan bencana di Kecamatan Wajak dipicu karena tata ruang dan pengelolaan serta pengolahan lahan yang tidak sesuai dengan prinsip konservasi seperti penanaman tanaman semusim pada lahan dengan kelerengan curam, penebangan pohon, dan perubahan daerah jerap air menjadi tambang pasir. Penelitian ini dilakukan mulai bulan Juni hingga Agustus 2022 di Kecamatan Wajak, Kabupaten Malang, Jawa Timur. Kegiatan penelitian diawali dengan pra survei dengan melakukan pengurusan perizinan, pembuatan peta SPL dengan peta dasar berupa jenis tanah, kemiringan lahan, dan penggunaan lahan beserta penentuan titik pengamatan. Kegiatan selanjutnya yaitu melakukan survei dengan mengamati pengelolaan lahan dan pengambilan sampel tanah untuk menganalisa bahan organik, permeabilitas, dan tekstur tanah di Laboratorium Fisika dan Kimia Tanah, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Brawijaya. Setelah mendapatkan data survei maka dilakukan analisis berupa uji normalitas, uji korelasi dan uji regresi menggunakan R Studio dan Microsoft Excel. Hasil Penelitian didapatkan bahwa lahan di Kecamatan Wajak, Kabupaten Malang memiliki persentase kandungan pasir sangat halus 19,18-33,57%, pasir 62,43-87,05%, debu 7,17-20,28%, dan liat 5,78-21,38%. Berdasarkan pengamatan didapatkan hasil struktur gumpal dan granular. Hasil uji laboratorium menunjukkan persentase bahan organik 1,23-2,85%, persentase tersebut termasuk ke dalam klasifikasi rendah hingga sedang, serta laju permeabilitas sebesar 5,22- 20,03 cm/jam. Nilai erodibilitas terendah ditemukan pada SPL 2 dengan nilai 0,26, sedangkan erodibilitas tertinggi terdapat pada SPL 3 dengan nilai 0,45. Kesimpulan yang didapatkan lahan di Kecamatan Wajak, Kabupaten Malang memiliki nilai erodibilitas dominan agak tinggi hingga tinggi. Nilai erodibilitas yang didapatkan dipengaruhi oleh bahan organik, struktur, tekstur, dan permeabilitas tanah. Nilai erodibilitas tanah dan produktivitas memiliki hubungan yang signifikan satu sama lain. English Abstract

Coffea sp. is one of the chosen plantation sector plants. The same trend is also happening to the farmers in Wajak District who start to plant coffee plants, this is due to the increasing demand for coffee in the market. The soil in Wajak District is influenced by volcanic activities, this can be seen from its location at the foot of Mount Semeru, thus producing components that relatively have coarse particles, meaning it has sandy to dust texture. There are three causes of nitrogen loss in the soil which are lost with water due to drainage, evaporation and absorbed by the plants. Other than geographical and geological factors, disaster prone areas in Wajak District is triggered due to the inappropriate land use and management as well as land processing such as planting seasonal plants on steep slopes, tree felling, and changes of water catchment areas to sand mining. This research was conducted starting June to August 2022 in Wajak Subdistrict, Malang Regency, East Java. The research activities began with a presurvey by conducting permission management, making a SPL map with a basic map in the form of land type, land slope, and land use as well as determining observation points. The next activity was to conduct a survey by observing land management and taking soil samples to analyze organic matter, permeability, and soil texture in the Soil Physics and Chemistry Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Brawijaya University. After obtaining survey data, then the analysis was conducted which include normality test, correlation test and regression test using R Studio and Microsoft Excel. The results of the research indicated that the land in Wajak Subdistrict, Malang Regency has a very fine sand content percentage of 19.18-33.57%, sand 62.43-87.05%, dust 7.17-20.28%, and clay 5.78-21.38%. Based on the observation, the results of the clump and granular structure were obtained. The laboratory tests showed the organic matter content of 1.23-2.85%, which belonged to the low to medium classification, as well as the permeability rate of 5.22-20.03 cm/hour. The lowest erodibility value was found in SPL 2 with a value of 0.26, while the highest erodibility value was found in SPL 3 with a value of 0.45. The conclusion obtained from the land in Wajak District, Malang Regency has dominant erodibility values ranging from moderate to high. The values obtained are influenced by organic matter, structure, texture, and permeability of the soil. The erodibility value of the soil and productivity have a significant relationship with each other. The erodibility value and productivity of coffee plants in Wajak District, Malang Regency have a significant relationship. Erodibility value has a significant effect of 44% on the productivity of coffee plants in Wajak District, Malang Regency
