Abstract
Kumbang ambrosia merupakan serangga penggerek batang kayu tanaman hutan dunia yang berperan sebagai pengurai kayu dan hidup bersimbiosis dengan jamur ambrosia. Mahoni merupakan salah satu tanaman yang menjadi inang kumbang ambrosia. Tanaman mahoni banyak dikembangkan sebagai tanaman hutan di Indonesia khususnya di pulau Jawa dan Sumatera. Serangan kumbang ambrosia dapat menyebabkan penurunan kualitas kayu tanaman mahoni. Jenis perangkap yang dapat digunakan untuk mengendalikan dan melakukan monitoring pada populasi kumbang ambrosia adalah Multiple funnel trap. Warna pada perangkap dapat memberikan pengaruh terhadap serangga. Perangkap warna merupakan salah satu cara pengendalian serangga hama karena memanfaatkan ketertarikan serangga terhadap warna tertentu. Penggunaan multiple funnel trap dengan variasi warna perlu diteliti lebih lanjut. Upaya ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari warna perangkap terhadap kelimpahan dan keanekaragaman kumbang ambrosia yang didapat. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Desember 2020. Penelitian dilakukan pada hutan mahoni UB Forest. Perangkap terbuat dari ujung botol air mineral 1.5 lt yang dibalik dan dipotong membentuk corong dan disusun secara vertikal sepanjang 1 meter. Perangkap di berikan 5 jenis warna yang berbeda mengggunakan cat semprot. Bagian dalam perangkap digantungkan plastik klip yang telah dilubangi dan diisi kapas yang telah diberikan etanol. Bagian ujung bawah perangkap digantungkan botol gelas plastik yang berisi larutan ditergen sebagai wadah kumbang ambrosia yang terperangkap. Perangkap diikat pada batang tanaman dengan ketinggian 2 meter diatas permukaan tanah. Total plot pengamatan terdapat 25 plot dengan jarak antar plot 25 meter. Pengumpulan spesimen dilakukan setiap 3 hari sekali sebanyak 10 kali. Spesimen dikumpulkan di wadah gelas platik yang berisi alkohol. Spesimen diidentifikasi di Laboratorium Hama Tumbuhan, Departemen Hama dan Penyakit Tumbuhan, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Brawijaya. Hasil data kelimpahan dari warna perangkap kumbang ambrosia dilakukan perhitungan ANOVA. Perbedaan warna multliple funnel trap berpengaruh terhadap kelimpahan kumbang ambrosia yang ditangkap. Perangkap warna hitam dan merah mampu menangkap lebih banyak kumbang ambrosia daripada perangkap warna kuning, transparan, dan putih. Namun, perbedaan warna perangkap funnel tidak berpengaruh terhadap keanekaragaman jenis spesies kumbang ambrosia yang di tangkap.
English Abstract
Ambrosia beetle is an insect borer of wood trunks of forest plants that act as decomposers of wood and live in symbiosis with the fungus ambrosia. Mahogany is one of the plants that host the ambrosia beetle. Mahogany plants are widely developed as forest plants in Indonesia, especially on the islands of Java and Sumatra. Ambrosia beetle attacks can cause a decrease in the quality of mahogany wood. The type of trap that can be used to control and monitor the population of ambrosia beetle is a Multiple funnel trap. The color of the trap can have an effect on insects. Color trap is one way of pest insect control because it utilizes insect attraction to certain colors. The use of multiple funnel trap traps with color variations needs to be investigated further. This attempt was made to determine the effect of trap color on the abundance and diversity of ambrosia beetles obtained. The study was conducted in December 2020. The study was conducted on mahogany forest UB Forest. The trap is made from the tip of a 1.5 lt mineral water bottle that is turned and cut to form a funnel and arranged vertically along a length of 1 meters. Traps are given 5 types of different colors using spray paint. The inside of the trap is hung with plastic clips that have been perforated and filled with cotton that has been given ethanol. The bottom end of the trap hung a plastic glass bottle containing a solution ditergen as a container trapped ambrosia beetles. The trap is tied to the stem of the plant at a height of 2 meters above ground level. Total observation plots there are 25 plots with a distance between the plots of 25 meters. Specimen collection is carried out every 3 days 10 times. The specimens are collected in a platic glass container filled with alcohol. Specimens were identified in the Laboratory of plant pests, Department of plant pests and diseases, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Brawijaya. The result of abundance data from the trap color of ambrosia beetle was Anova calculation. Differences in the color of multiple funnel traps affect the abundance of ambrosia beetles captured. Traps of black and red colors are able to catch more ambrosia beetles than traps of yellow, clear and white colors. However, the difference in trap color had no effect on the diversity of ambrosia beetle species caught.
