Carones, Azizah and Medha Baskara (2023) Penilaian Kondisi Fisik Pohon Tepi Jalan Kawasan Bouwplan VI (Permukiman dan Industri) Kota Malang. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.
Abstract
Jenis pohon paling banyak dijumpai yakni palem raja (Roystonea regia) berjumlah 227 tanaman. Rata-rata tinggi pohon ≤10 m sebanyak 55,8%, antara 11-20 m sebanyak 39,3% dan ≥20 m sebanyak 4,7%. Pengukuran diameter batang pohon ≤0,5 m sebanyak 83,9%, antara 0,5-1 m sebanyak 14,4% dan ≥1 m sebanyak 1,6%. Pengukuran lebar tajuk ≤3 m sebanyak 13,8%, antara 3-7 m sebanyak 40,4% dan ≥7 m sebanyak 45,6%. Jumlah pohon tua sebanyak 26 pohon dengan diameter batang ≥1 m. Kondisi kesehatan khususnya pohon tua yakni 1 pohon sangat sehat, 14 pohon sehat, 7 pohon kerusakan ringan, 3 pohon kerusakan sedang dan 1 pohon kerusakan berat.
English Abstract
The city is the center of an area, so many public activities are centered in the city to reach the surrounding area both in the development of facilities and infrastructure. Malang city continues to grow rapidly, but development that is not accompanied by environmental quality will cause problems such as reduced green open space, increased air pollution from vehicles, industrial factories and reduced water catchment areas. Likewise, in the residential and industrial area of Bouwplan IV which was one of the planned for the expansion of Malang city during the colonial era, settlements were built adjacent to the industrial area. The existence of roadside trees in the area certainly experiences obstacles such as environmental factors that have a lot of pollution from vehicles and factory smoke and people’s behaviour. Many trees were damaged by vandalism, such as patches/brochures on tree trunks, garbage dumps and other. So that community and the government action is needed to protect these trees. This research was conducted from July to August 2022, taking place in Kasin Village, Klojen District, Malang City. The tools used include stationary, tape measure, cell phone, computers, Google Maps, Google Lens, PlantNet applications and Clinometer. The materials used include green lines and tree health data references. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach which was carried out using a field survey method. Tree health monitoring is carried out using the Forest Health Monitoring (FHM) method. Analysis of tree health observation data was carried out by converting the location code, type of damage and severity class into weighted damage index values. The results of the calculation of the damage index value are then clarified according on the tree's health level. Based on the results of the identification research on the distribution of roadside tree species in the Bouwplan VI area, a total of 1569 trees were obtained with the highest abundance of 42.65% of the 26 species on Jl. Kalimantan. The heighest diversity index value is on Jl. Kalimantan with a value of 2,86 which is included in moderate diversity. As many as 37 roads including moderate diversity dan 19 roads including low diversity. The highest evenness index value is at Jl. Banda with a value of 1.95. The most common tree species is the palem raja (Roystonea regia) with 227 plants. The average tree height ≤10 m was 55.8%, between 11-20 m was 39.3% and ≥20 m was 4.7%. Measurement the diameter of tree trunks ≤0.5 m was 83.9%, between 0.5-1 m was 14.4% and ≥1 m was 1.6%. Canopy width measurements ≤3 m were 13.8%, between 3-7 m were 40.4% and ≥7 m were 45.6%. The number of old trees was 26 trees with a trunk diameter of ≥1 m. Health conditions, especially old trees, namely 1 very health tree, 14 health trees, 7 light damage trees, 3 moderate damage trees, 1 heavy damage tree. The condition of roadside trees in the area shows that 34% are classified as very healthy, 50% are healthy, 12.3% are slightly damaged, 3% are moderately damaged and 1% severely damaged. This is due to several types damage, namely broken stems and branches as much as 36%, epiphytic damage 25%, pest and disease damage 8%, damage to advanced weathered stems 8%, vandalism 7%, dieback 6% and other types of damage less than 5%. Care recommendations are carried out in the form of watering, pruning branches, fertilizing, controlling pests and deseases, replacing plants, cavity treatment, controlling vandalism and tree identites place.
