Abstract
Tanaman labu kuning (Cucurbita moschata) merupakan salah satu tanaman yang memiliki kandungan gizi tinggi yang memiliki sifat merambat, mudah tumbuh, produktif dan tidak begitu sulit dalam perawatan. Sistem budidaya organik merupakan salah satu cara budidaya pertanian yang bergantung pada input dan sarana produksi berupa bahan–bahan organik. Salah satu bahan organik yang mendukung sistem pertanian organik yaitu benih organik. Pengembangan sistem budidaya organik dapat digunakan untuk menyediakan benih organik dengan kegiatan pemuliaan tanaman. Kegiatan pemuliaan tanaman labu kuning dengan rekayasa linkungan berupa penggunaan pupuk organik sebagai pengganti pupuk kimia untuk menyediakan benih organik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penampilan karakter agronomi lima varietas labu kuning berdasarkan sistem budidaya organik dan anorganik. Pendugaan penelitian terdapat kesamaan penampilan karakter agronomi pada lima varietas labu kuning berdasarkan sistem budidaya organik dan anorganik. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Sukorejo, Kecamata Gondanglegi, Kabupaten Malang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dari bulan Februari 2022 sampai Juni 2022. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Petak Terbagi (Split Plot) dengan 3 kali ulangan terdapat petak utama sistem budidaya organik dan anorganik serta anak petak yaitu varietas kusuma, suprema, hammer, samina dan rocky sehingga terdapat 30 petak perlakuan. Karakter kuantitatif meliputi panjang tanaman, jumlah daun, umur berbunga, umur panen, jumlah buah pertanaman, tinggi buah, diameter buah, berat buah pertanaman, kadar kemanisan buah dan ketebalan daging buah serta uji organoleptik. Analisa data karakter kuantitatif dan organoleptik menggunakan ANOVA dan di uji lanjut beda nyata jujur (BNJ) pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada penelitian ini memiliki kesamaan penampilan agronomi pada tiap variabel kecuali umur berbunga dan umur panen berdasarkan sistem budidaya organik dan anorganik, perlakuan sistem budidaya dan varietas berpengaruh nyata pada variabel umur panen. Berdasarkan variabel umur panen menunjukkan bahwa varietas suprema memiliki kesamaan waktu panen pada sistem budidaya organik dan anorganik, serta pada uji organoleptik karakter kesukaan rasa labu kuning sampel budidaya anorganik agak disukai konsumen dibanding sampel budidaya organik, sedangkan untuk karakter kesukaan tekstur dan warna sampel labu kuning agak disukai konsumen pada kedua sistem budidaya tersebut.
English Abstract
Pumpkin plant (Cucurbita moschata) is one of the plants that has high nutritional content that has vines, is easy to grow, productive and not so difficult to care for. Organic cultivation system is one way of agricultural cultivation that depends on inputs and production facilities in the form of organic materials. One of the organic materials that support organic farming systems is organic seeds. The development of organic cultivation systems can be used to provide organic seeds with plant breeding activities. Pumpkin plant breeding activities with environmental engineering in the form of using organic fertilizers instead of chemical fertilizers to provide organic seeds. This study aims to determine the appearance of the agronomic characters of five pumpkin varieties based on organic and inorganic cultivation systems. Research estimates that there are similarities in the appearance of agronomic characters in five pumpkin varieties based on organic and inorganic cultivation systems. This research was conducted in Sukorejo Village, Gondanglegi District, Malang Regency. This research was carried out from February 2022 to June 2022. This study used the Split Plot design with 3 replications, there were main plots of organic and inorganic cultivation systems and subplots namely kusuma, suprema, hammer, samina and rocky varieties so that there were 30 treatment plot. Quantitative characters included plant length, number of leaves, age of flowering, age of harvest, number of fruit planted, fruit height, fruit diameter, weight of fruit planted, fruit sweetness level and thickness of fruit flesh and organoleptic tests. Analysis of quantitative and organoleptic character data using ANOVA and further tested with honest real difference (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results showed that this study had the same agronomic appearance on each variable except flowering age and harvest age based on organic and inorganic cultivation systems, cultivation system treatment and varieties had a significant effect on harvest age variables. Based on the harvest age variable, it shows that the Suprema variety has the same harvest time in organic and inorganic cultivation systems, and in the organoleptic test, the taste preferences of pumpkin samples from inorganic cultivation samples are somewhat more favorable to consumers than organic cultivation samples, while the texture and color preferences of pumpkin samples are slightly different. favored by consumers in both cultivation systems.
