Abstract
Tanaman lobak merupakan salah satu sayuran yang berbentuk umbi, selain tanaman ini digunakan sebagai bahan sayuran, lobak dapat digunakan sebagai obat juga. Luas panen tanaman lobak di Indonesia pada tahun 2020 mengalami penurunan yaitu hanya 1.560 ha (BPS, 2020). Kurangnya lahan panen untuk tanaman lobak putih dikarenakan petani di Indonesia rata-rata menanam komoditas seperti kentang dan ubi jalar untuk tanaman pokok yang berasal dari umbi serta tanaman padi serta jagung sebagai tanaman pokok paling utama di Indonesia. Salah satu upaya dalam permasalahan yang terkait dengan tanaman lobak ialah menggunakan budidaya secara hidroponik substrat. Penggunaan media tanam yang baik dalam budidaya tanaman lobak harus memiliki ciri yang gembur, subur, dan porous. Untuk mendapatkan kondisi media tanam yang sesuai untuk pertumbuhan lobak perlu dilakukan pemilihan komposisi media tanam agar umbi lobak yang didapatkan memiliki hasil yang baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari apakah ada pengaruh pada komposisi media tanam terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman lobak. Hipotesis dari penelitian ini bahwa terjadi pengaruh komposisi media tanam pada pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman lobak. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret 2022 hingga Mei 2022 di Greenhouse Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Brawijaya Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri dari 8 perlakuan media tanam, yaitu M0: Cocopeat (kontrol), M1: Cocopeat + Pasir (1:1), M2: Cocopeat + Kompos (1:1), M3: Pasir + Kompos (1:1), M4: Cocopeat + Pasir + Kompos (1:1:1), M5: Cocopeat + Pasir + Kompos (2:1:1), M6: Cocopeat + Pasir + Kompos (1:2:1) dan M7: Cocopeat + Pasir + Kompos (1:1:2). Terdapat 8 perlakuan dan setiap perlakuan diulang 4 kali sehingga terdapat 32 unit perlakuan. Dari rancangan ini terdapat 192 tanaman. Parameter pengamatan yang diamati ialah panjang tanaman (cm), jumlah daun (helai), luas daun (cm2), bobot kering tanaman (g), diameter umbi (cm), panjang umbi (cm) dan bobot segar umbi (g). Analisis data menggunakan analisis ragam ANOVA (uji F taraf 5%) untuk melihat pengaruh dari perlakuan dan jika perlakuan berpengaruh nyata maka dilakukan uji lanjut dengan menggunakan uji BNJ taraf 5%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa pengaruh dari komposisi media tanam berpengaruh terhadap panjang tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun, bobot kering tanaman, diameter umbi lobak, panjang umbi lobak dan bobot segar umbi lobak. Komposisi media tanam pasir+kompos (1:1), cocopeat+pasir+kompos (1:1:1), dan cocopeat+pasir+kompos (1:1:2) memberikan pertumbuhan tanaman yang baik dalam segi panjang tanaman dan jumlah daun serta memberikan diameter umbi, panjang umbi dan bobot segar umbi yang baik. Perlakuan pasir+kompos (1:1) menunjukkan bobot segar umbi sebesar 161% lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan cocopeat (kontrol), perlakuan cocopeat+pasir+kompos (1:1:1) menunjukkan bobot segar umbi sebesar 226% lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan cocopeat (kontrol), dan v perlakuan cocopeat+pasir+kompos (1:1:2) menunjukkan bobot segar umbi sebesar 172% lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan perlakuan cocopeat (kontrol).
English Abstract
Radish is one of the vegetables in the form of tubers, in addition to this plant being used as a vegetable ingredient, radish can be used as medicine as well. The harvested area of radish in Indonesia in 2020 has decreased to only 1,560 ha (BPS, 2020). The lack of land for harvesting white radish is due to the fact that farmers in Indonesia generally grow commodities such as potatoes and sweet potatoes for staple crops derived from tubers and rice and corn as the main staple crops in Indonesia. One of the efforts to solve problems related to radish plants is to use hydroponic substrate cultivation. The use of good planting media in the cultivation of radish plants must have loose, fertile, and porous characteristics. In order to obtain suitable planting media conditions for radish growth, it is necessary to select the composition of the planting media so that the radish tubers obtained have good results. This study aims to study whether there is an effect on the composition of the planting media on the growth and yield of radish plants. The hypothesis of this research is that there is an effect of the composition of the planting media on the growth and yield of radish. This research carried out from March 2022 to May 2022 at the Greenhouse of the Agriculture Faculty, University of Brawijaya, Malang. This study used Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisting of 8 treatments of planting media, namely M0: Cocopeat (control), M1: Cocopeat + Sand (1:1), M2: Cocopeat + Composts (1:1), M3: Sand + Composts (1:1), M4: Cocopeat + Sand + Composts (1:1:1), M5: Cocopeat + Sand + Composts (2:1:1), M6: Cocopeat + Sand + Composts (1:2:1) and M7: Cocopeat + Sand + Composts (1:1:2). There were 8 treatments and each treatment was repeated 4 times so that there were 32 treatment units. From this design there are 192 plants. Parameters observed were plant length (cm), number of leaves (strands), leaf area (cm2), plant dry weight (g), tuber diameter (cm), tuber length (cm), and fresh tuber weight (g). Data analysis will be use ANOVA analysis of variance (F test at 5% level) to see the effect of the treatment and if the treatment had a significant effect, further tests were carried out using the Tukey HSD test at 5% level. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the effect of the composition of the planting media had an effect on plant length, number of leaves, leaf area, plant dry weight, radish tuber diameter, radish tuber length and fresh weight of radish tubers. The composition of planting media sand+compost (1:1), cocopeat+sand+compost (1:1:1), and cocopeat+sand+compost (1:1:2) provides good plant growth in terms of plant length and number of leaves as well as providing good tuber diameter, tuber length and fresh weight of tubers. Sand+compost (1:1) showed 161% higher tuber fresh weight than cocopeat (control), cocopeat+sand+compost (1:1:1) treatment showed 226% higher tuber fresh weight compared to cocopeat (control), and cocopeat+sand+compost (1:1:2) treatment showed that the fresh weight of tubers was 172% higher than the cocopeat treatment (control).
