Abstract

Bahasa Inggris adalah bahasa yang paling populer di dunia, sehingga membuat bahasa ini dipilih oleh para profesional yang berkecimpung dalam bidang sains dan teknologi. Untuk mengejar ketertinggalan, Indonesia perlu untuk mempersiapkan sumber daya manusia yang menguasai bahasa Inggris, baiknya dimulai sejak dini supaya mereka memiliki basis yang kuat untuk kedepannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif and menggunakan desain case study. Untuk mengumpulkan data, peneliti mengadaptasi interview dari (Pédro, 2018), (Wathoni, 2018), dan (Noviardani, 2022). Interview didasari empat tema dan sembilan pertanyaan yang mana berfokus pada implementasi dari video animasi dalam mengajarkan bahasa Inggris kepada pelajar muda. Populasi dari subjek penelitian adalah empat guru, dua dari kelas reguler dan dua dari kelas unggulan. Data telah dikumpulkan menggunakan transkrip wawancara. Hasilnya bahwa sebagian besar siswa mengenal kegiatan belajar mengajar menggunakan video animasi, mereka penuh perhatian, tertarik pada pengalaman baru, nyaman, dan belajar secara efektif. Tapi untuk mencapai ini, guru dibutuhkan untuk mempersiapkan materi, dan sanggup untuk mengoperasikan alat elektronik, bersama dengan pembawaan yang percaya diri dan kontrol di dalam kelas.

English Abstract

English is the most popular language in the world .thus making it the language chosen by professionals who immersed themself in science and technological advances. To catch up with this, indonesia is needed to prepare their human resources with the mastery of English, preferably started from elementary school, so they have the bases for further levels. This study employed qualitative approach and is using case study as the design. To obtain the data, the researcher adapts the interviews from (Pédro, 2018), (Wathoni, 2018), and (Noviardani, 2022). The interview consisted of four themes and nine questions which focused on the implementation of animation video in teaching young learners. The population of the subject research are four teachers, two of the regular classes, and two of excellent classes. The data was compiled using interview transcript. The result stated that most of the students are familiar with animation videos, they are attentive, interested in new experiences, comfortable, and can learn effectively. But to achieve this result, the teachers are needed to be prepared of the material, and be able to operate electronic gadgets, along with confidence and control in the classroom
