Abstract
English Abstract
Organic waste is the largest type of waste with a total of 57%.The wastecomes from industrial waste, foodwaste, wood, and twigs. Bioconversion of organic waste can be done by breeding Black SoldierFly (BSF) maggots because it can degrade 55% of organic wast. BSF maggot fat has a 23,4% lauric acid ester, 27,1% oleinic acid ester and 18,2% palmitic ester which has the potential to be used as a raw material of biodiesel. This study used the response surface method (RSM) central composite design (CCD) with two factors and three response variables. The factorused is the ratio of the solvent to the treatment levels of 1:4, 1:6 and 1:8 g/mL. The second factor used is the extraction duration with treatment levels of 20.40 and 60 minutes. The response label used is the level of free fatty acids (FFA), acid numbers and yield with limits based on SNI 7182:2015. The ratio of solvents has a significant influence on the level of free fatty acids (FFA) and the number of BSF maggot fatty acids. The more solvents used, the higher value of the response. The length of extraction time has a significant effect on the fat yield of BSF maggots. The longer extraction is carried out greater the yield when done with high concentration solvent. The optimal solution result from the treatment level of the solvent ratio of 1:4 g/ml, and the extraction duration was 20 minutes. The predicted result of the optimal solution response of free fatty acid content (FFA) was 3.03%, the acid number was 6.01912 mg KOH/g and the yield was 29.4923% . The actual results from validation of the responses were 3.04%, 5.99 mg KOH/g and 30.15%.
