Abstract
Jagung merupakan tanaman serealia yang memiliki kandungan karbohidrat dan protein yang cukup tinggi sehingga dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan baku pangan alternatif pengganti beras. Upaya dalam peningkatan produksi jagung adalah dengan penggunaan varietas hibrida. Salah satu jenis jagung yang memiliki potensi untuk dikembangkan menjadi varietas hibrida unggul adalah jagung ungu. Jagung ungu memiliki keunggulan berupa kandungan antosianin yang bermanfaat bagi kesehatan manusia. Dalam proses perakitan varietas hibrida maka dibutuhkan serangkaian uji pada suatu galur, salah satunya yaitu uji daya hasil pendahuluan. Pengujian ini umumnya akan bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi hasil dan daya adaptasi serta stabilitas hasil dari tanaman. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui potensi hasil pada 16 galur jagung ungu dan mendapatkan galur potensial yang dapat diseleksi. Kegitan penelitian ini bertempat di Desa Jati Baru, Kecamatan Tanjung Bintang, Kabupaten Lampung Selatan. Alat yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu cangkul, meteran, sprayer, gunting, alat tulis dan alat dokumentasi, timbangan, serta perangkat pengolah data. Sedangkan bahan yang digunakan yaitu Pestisida, Pupuk, 16 jenis benih galur jagung ungu diantaranya UB-UL 1, UB-UL 2, UB-UL 5, UB-UL 6, UB-UL 7, UB-UL 8, UB-UL 9, UB-UL 10, UB-UL 11, UB-UL 12, UB-UL 13, UB-UL 14, UB-UL 17, UB-UL 18, UB-UL 19, UB-UL 20, dan varietas pembanding Jantan F1. Percobaan ini menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK). Terdapat 17 Perlakuan dan masing-masing kelompok percobaan dilakukan 3 kali ulangan. Adapun pengamatan dilakukan pada warna plumula, bentuk daun pertama, warna batang, tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, waktu anthesis, waktu silking, warna anther, warna silk, warna glume, warna janggel, warna kernel, bobot tongkol dengan kelobot, bobot tongkol tanpa kelobot, panjang tongkol, bobot janggel, bobot biji per tongkol, jumlah tongkol pertanaman, rendemen biji, dan potensi hasil. Analisis data kualitatif dilakukan menggunakan skoring dominan data. Sedangkan analisis data kuantitatif dilakukan menggunakan uji F dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Beda Nyata Jujur (BNJ) dengan taraf 5% serta perhitungan nilai KKG,KKF dan nilai heritabilitas. Hasil dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan pada karakter kualitatif didapatkan bahwa setiap galur yang diuji memiliki karakter dengan tingkat skor persentase keseragaman yang berbeda-beda. Begitu pula dengan hasil pengamatan pada karakter kuantitatif yang menunjukan perbedaan yang nyata pada setiap karakter tanaman yang diuji. Berdasarkan jumlah skor potensi penampilan dari 16 galur yang diuji, terdapat 8 galur yang memiliki potensi nilai penampilan tinggi diatas rata-rata seluruh galur dan dibandingkan dengan varietas pembanding Jantan F1. Galur tersebut yaitu UB-UL 2, UB-UL 5, UB-UL 6, UB-UL 9, UB-UL 12, UB-UL 13, UB-UL 14, dan UB-UL 17 yang memiliki potensi untuk dikembangkan. Selain itu didapatkan bahwa nilai KKG dan KKF pada 12 karakter kuantitatif termasuk dalam kategori rendah, serta nilai heritabilitas yang termasuk dalam kategori sedang hingga tinggi
English Abstract
Maize is a cereal plant that has high enough carbohydrates and protein that it can be used as an alternative food substitute. In attemp to increase maize production are by using hybrid varieties. One kind of maize that has a potential to be developed into a superior hybrid varieties is a purple corn. Purple corn has an anthocyanin content that is beneficial to human health. In the process of assembling hybrid varieties, a variety or lines must pass a series of tests, one of them is yield trials. This test generally aims to determine the potential yield and adaptability and yield of plants. The aim of this research was to determine the yield potential of 16 purple maize lines and to obtain potential lines that could be selected. This research was conducted in Sinar Ogan Hamlet, Jati Baru Village, Tanjung Bintang District, South Lampung Regency. The tools used in this study were a hoe, ruler or meter, sprayer, scissors, stationery and documentation tools, scales, as well as software and hardware as data processing tools. While the materials used are Pesticides, Fertilizers, and 16 lines of purple corn seeds including UB-UL 1, UB-UL 2, UB-UL 5, UB-UL 6, UB-UL 7, UB-UL 8, UB-UL 9 , UB-UL 10, UB-UL 11, UB-UL 12, UB-UL 13, UB-UL 14, UB-UL 17, UB- UL 18, UB-UL 19, UB-UL 20 and control variety Jantan F1. This experiment used a randomized block design (RBD). There were 17 treatments and each experimental group was repeated 3 times. The variable that observed are Plumule color, the shape of the first leaf, stem color, plant height, number of leaves, day of anthesis, day of silking, anther color, silk color, glume color, corncob color, kernel color, weight of corncob with cornhusk, weight of cob without cornhusk, length of corncob, weight of cob, weight of seeds per cob, number of cobs in planted, kernel per cob ratio and potential yield. Qualitative data analysis is using scoring dominan data. Meanwhile, Quantitative data analysis was carried out using F test and proceed by Honest Significant Different (HSD) test with a level of 5%, an also estimates CVG, CVP, and heritability values . The results of the research that has been carried out on qualitative characters are found that each tested line has a character with a different level of uniformity percentage score. Likewise, the results of observations on quantitative characters showed significant differences in each of the tested plant characters. Based on the total performance potential scores of the 16 tested lines, there were 8 lines that had the potential for better performance values above the average and compared to the comparison variety Jantan F1. Namely UB-UL 2, UB-UL 5, UB-UL 6, UB- UL 9, UB-UL 12, UB-UL 13, UB-UL 14, and UB-UL 17. In addition, it was found that the CVG and CVP values for 12 quantitative characters showed values in the low category and heritability values showed moderate to high category
