Abstract

Fenomena pemberian pertolongan pertama di tempat kejadian pada korban kecelakaan lalu lintas jarang dilakukan langsung oleh petugas kesehatan ataupun masyarakat sekitar lokasi kejadian sebagai orang yang terlatih. Orang awam yang sering dijumpai dan memberikan pertolongan pertama adalah petugas kepolisian. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengeksplorasi makna pengalaman polisi sebagai orang awam dalam memberikan pertolongan pertama pada korban kecelakaan Lalu lintas di Kabupaten Bojonegoro. Desain penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi intepretatif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode wawancara mendalam dengan panduan wawancara semi terstruktur yang melibatkan lima partisipan. Hasil penelitian ini mendapatkan 10 tema : (1) Menolong korban kecelakaan dengan segera (2) Adanya rasa bertanggung jawab sebagai polisi untuk menolong korban kecelakaan (3) Menolong sesama manusia (4) Melakukan pertolongan pertama sesuai kemampuannya (5) Merasakan ketakutan menolong berbagai kondisi korban kecelakaan (6) Merasakan konflik batin terhadap kondisi korban beserta keluarga (7) Merasa masyarakat menghambat proses pertolongan (8) Kurangnya peralatan yang tersedia untuk menolong korban kecelakaan (9) Merasa pelatihan yang dimiliki kurang maksimal (10) berharap adanya kerja sama dengan tim kesehatan serta masyarakat dalam menjalankan sistem pertolongan korban gawat darurat. Kesimpulan penelitian ini yaitu Polisi telah menyadari bahwa alasan menolong korban kecelakaan adalah tanggung jawab serta rasa kemanusiaan. Polisi Menolong korban kecelakaan dengan segera berdasarkan kemampuan yang dimiliki. Polisi merasakan kesulitan dalam menolong korban. Kesulitan pertama yaitu masyarakat menghambat proses pertolongan. Peralatan yang digunakan polisi untuk pertolongan pertama masih kurang lengkap. Polisi merasa bahwa pelatihan tentang pertolongan pertama masih kurang maksimal. Polisi memiliki harapan yaitu berharap adanya kerja sama dengan tim kesehatan serta masyarakat dalam menjalankan sistem pertolongan korban gawat darurat

English Abstract

The phenomenon of providing emergency aid at the scene of the accident is rarely performed directly by health workers or the trained local community. Lay people who are often found and provide first aid are police officers. The purpose of this study is to explore police experience as a layman in providing first aid to traffic accident victims in Kabupaten Bojonegoro. This study used qualitative research with an interpretative phenomenological analysis approach. The data collection is based on a semi-structured interview with five participants. The study provides 10 themes, for instance: (1) Immediate Assistance to Accident Victims (2) Feeling of responsibility as a police officer to assist accident victims (3) Assistance to fellow human beings (4) Doing first aid according to their abilities (5) Fear of supporting different conditions for victims of accidents (6) Feeling an inner conflict with the condition of the victim and the family (7) Feeling that the Community hindering the aid process (8) Lack of equipment for accident victims (9) Feeling lack of training (10) Improving cooperation with the health team and the community in the implementation of the emergency call system. The conclusion of this study is the police have realized that the reason for helping the victims is responsibility and a sense of humanity. Police help victims immediately because of their abilities. The police have difficulty helping victims. The first difficulty is the community hinders the aid process. The equipment used by the First Aid Police is still incomplete. The police feel that the first aid training is insufficient. The police hope to strengthen cooperation with the health team and the community in the implementation of the emergency call system
