Pengaruh Penerapan Media Scrapbox Berbasis Pendidikan Religius Terhadap Keterampilan Menyusun Teks Ulasan Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 8 Malang

Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 8 Malang mengalami kesulitan dalam menemukan dan menuangkan ide menjadi bentuk paragraf, rendahnya nilai religius siswa, menyusun teks ulasan sesuai struktur dan kaidah kebahasaan sehingga siswa mendapatkan rentangan nilai 69-75 yang berarti berada di bawah KKM 75. Tujuan penelitian ini, yaitu (1) mengetahui penerapan media Scrapbox berbasis pendidikan religius dalam keterampilan menyusun teks ulasan siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 8 Malang dan (2) mengetahui pengaruh penerapan media Scrapbox berbasis pendidikan religius terhadap keterampilan menyusun teks ulasan siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 8 Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis eksperimen murni bentuk pretest-posttest. Instrumen penelitian meliputi soal pretest, soal posttest, pedoman studi dokumentasi, pedoman wawancara, rumus perhitungan validitas isi, butir soal continue, dan reliabilitas. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian ini menggunakan tes, studi dokumentasi, wawancara, observasi, uji validitas, dan uji reliabilitas. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini meliputi analisis deskriptif persentase butir soal, uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji-t. Hasil yang didapatkan pada uji-t skor posttest kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen diketahui bahwa hasil thitung(th) sebesar -5,305 dengan df 62. Berdasarkan taraf signifikasi 5% dengan df 62 diperoleh thitung(th)<ttabel (ttb) atau -5,305<-1,999, thitung(th) lebih kecil dari ttabel (ttb). Hasil tersebut menyatakan media Scrapbox berbasis pendidikan religius berpengaruh dalam keterampilan menyusun teks ulasan siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 8 Malang.

English Abstract

The background of this research is that the eight graders at SMPN 8 Malang are having problems in finding ideas and turning them into paragraphs, writing a review, and paying attention to grammar, resulting in their getting marks bellow standards.The objectives of the study were (1) to find out the applying of Scrapbox media based on religious education towards students’ skill in composing review text at eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 8 Malang.; (2) to find out the differences between students’ skill in composing review text using Scrapbox media based on religious education and students’ skill in composing review text without using Scrapbox media based on religious education; (3) to find out the impact of Scrapbox media based on religious education’s applying towards students’ skill in composing review text at eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 8 Malang. This study used quantitative approach and applied experimental research as the research design with pretest-posttest model. The instruments of the study were pretest questions, posttest questions, documentation field note, interview guideline, content validity formula, item of continue question, and reliability. The researcher used test, documentation study, interview, observation, validity test, and reliability test as the technique of data collection. In data analysis, researcher used descriptive analysis of questions item percentage, normalization test, homogeneity test, and t-test. The result of t-test showed that the posttest score of control group and experimental group were t value was -5,305 with df value was 62. Based on the 5 % of significant phase with df was 62, the result of the tvalue was value<ttable(ttb) or -5,305<-1,999, tvalue was less than ttable(ttb). The results revealed that Scrapbox media based on religious education had impact towards students’ skill in composing review text at eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 8 Malang.
