Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendapatkan pengaruh terbaik dari penambahan kombinasi tepung tomat dan sepiolite dalam pakan dengan jagung terkontaminasi aflatoxin terhadap penampilan produksi, karakteristik hepar, dan profil lemak darah ayam pedaging. Metode yang digunakan adalah percobaan in vivo dengan rancangan acak lengkap 7 perlakuan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan meliputi P0= kontrol positif (jagung tercemar 10 ppb aflatoxin), P1= kontrol negatif (jagung tercemar 102,5 ppb aflatoxin), P2= P1+0,25% sepiolite, P3= P2+0,5% tepung tomat, P4= P2+1% tepung tomat, P5= P2+1,5% tepung tomat, dan P6= P2+2% tepung tomat. Variabel yang diamati meliputi konsumsi pakan, bobot badan akhir, feed conversion ratio (FCR), dan income Over Feed Cost (IOFC), kadar SGPT, SGOT, skor Manja Roenigk, kolesterol, dan trigliserida darah. Sampel darah dan hepar diambil setelah perlakuan 34 hari masing-masing ulangan 1 ekor. Data dianalisis ANOVA dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan’s Multiple Range Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penambahan tepung tomat meningkatkan konsumsi pakan (P<0,01) dibandingkan perlakuan lainnya. Penambahan sepiolite meningkatkan bobot badan, dan jika dikombinasikan dengan tepung tomat bobot badan semakin meningkat hingga setara dengan P0 (P<0,01). Penambahan sepiolite dengan atau tanpa dikombinasikan tepung tomat menurunkan FCR (P<0,01). IOFC menurun pada perlakuan penambahan tepung tomat diatas 0,5% (P<0,01). Kadar SGPT tertinggi (P<0,01) terdapat pada perlakuan P2(8,13±0,12) dan terendah pada perlakuan P4 (4,67±0,31). Karakteristik hepar terendah (P<0,01) menurut skor Manja Roenigk terdapat pada perlakuan P5(230±17,80). Pemberian perlakuan tidak berpengaruh terhadap kadar SGOT dan kolesterol. Kadar trigliserida menunjukkan peningkatan (P<0,01) pada perlakuan pemberian tepung tomat, namun P5 menunjukkan nilai yang lebih rendah. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah penambahan kombinasi sepiolite 0,25% dan tepung tomat 1.5% (P5) memberikan pengaruh terbaik dalam meningkatkan konsumsi pakan dan bobot badan, menurunkan FCR, tingkat kerusakan hepar, dan trigliserida darah ayam pedaging, namun menurunkan FCR.

English Abstract

The purpose of this research was to evaluate the effect of adding combination of tomato powder (TP) and sepiolite to feed with aflatoxin contaminated corn on production performance, liver damage, and blood lipid profile of broiler chickens. The method was in vivo experiment by using a Completely Randomized Design with 7 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments were consist of T0= positive control (corn contaminated 10 ppb aflatoxin), T1=negative control (corn contaminated 102.5 ppb), P2=P1+0.25% sepiolite, P3= P2+0.5% TT, P4= T2+1% TP, T5=T2+1.5% TP, and T6= T2+2% TP. The measured variable were feed consumption, final body weight, FCR, IOFC, SGPT, SGOT, liver histopathologycal change according to Manja Roenigk scoring, blood serum cholesterol and triglyceride. The data were analysed with ANOVA and continued with Duncan’s Multiple Range Test. The result showed that addition of tomato powder increases feed consumption (P<0,01). Addition of sepiolite increases body weight, and when combined with tomato powder body weight increases to the same level of positive control (P<0,01). Addition of sepiolite with or without combined with tomato powder decreases FCR (P<0,01). IOFC decreases on addtion of tomato powder above 0,5% (P<0,01).The highest SGPT level (P<0.01) was in T1(8.13±0.12 U/L) and the lowest was in T4(4.67±0,31). The lowest level of liver damage (P<0.01) according to Manja Roenigk score was in T5 (230±17.80). The treatments did not affect to SGOT and cholesterol levels. Addition of tomato powder 0,5-2% increases triglyceride level, but T5 showed lower value (123,67±7,64 mg/dL). The conclusion of this research was addition of 0.25% sepiolite and 1.5% tomato powder (T5) in feed with aflatoxin contaminated corn give the best result in increase feed consumption, final body weight, decrease FCR, liver damage, and triglyceride level in broilers, but also decrease IOFC.
