Abstract
English Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a broad impact on various aspects of life, one of which is education. Adolescents are a group that is susceptible to stressful events, learning policies using online systems limit adolescents in their activities and social interactions so that they can increase the incidence of stress. Stress can affect eating behavior, one of which is the behavior of consuming vegetables and fruit in adolescents which is generally still very low in Indonesia. Vegetables and fruit need to be consumed in moderation because they are an important part of increasing body resistance during the Covid-19 pandemic. Vegetables and fruit are sources of vitamins, minerals, and fiber which are rich in antioxidants. This study aims to determine the stress level of adolescents on the frequency of consumption of vegetables and fruit during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research design is observational with a cross-sectional approach. The sample in this study amounted to 426 people with criteria for adolescents aged 15-18 years. Stress level data was taken using the DASS-21 questionnaire and data on the frequency of consumption of vegetables and fruit were taken using the Food Frequency Questionnaire which was conducted online via a google form. The data were analyzed descriptively and tested the relationship with Spearman-Rank. The results showed that the stress level of adolescents classified as mild stress was 7.5%, moderate 8.9%, severe 5.4%, very severe 2.3%, the category of frequency of vegetable consumption which was classified as sufficient was 41.1%, less was 58, 9%, the category of fruit consumption frequency which is classified as sufficient is 20.9% and less is 79.1%. The results of the analysis between stress levels and the frequency of consumption of vegetables and fruit showed no significant relationship with p-values of 0.751 and 0.718 (p>0.05).
