Abstract
Ciplukan (Physalis sp.) merupakan tanaman yang tergolong dalam family solanaceae. Di Indonesia tanaman ini tumbuh menyebar di berbagai daerah dan memiliki nama yang berbeda di setiap daerah. Namun tanaman ini jarang dibudidayakan dan umumnya hanya dianggap sebagai gulma oleh petani. Padahal belakangan, banyak penelitian yang mengemukakan bahwa ciplukan memiliki banyak kandungan yang bermanfaat bagi kesehatan, sehingga berpotensi untuk dikembangkan sebagai tanaman budidaya sumber buah eksotis yang berfungsi sebagai nutrasetikal. Program pemuliaan menjadi salah satu cara untuk merespon hal tersebut. Informasi mengenai fenologi dan karakterisasi suatu tanaman dapat digunakan sebagai informasi dasar untuk pemanfaatan dan pengembangan tanaman ciplukan di Indonesia utamanya dalam peningkatan kualitas genetik pada bidang pemuliaan tanaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mempelajari tahap fenologi berdasarkan skala Biologische Bundesanstal, Bundessortenamt and CHemical industry (BBCH) serta melakukan karakterisasi sifat kualitatif pada beberapa aksesi ciplukan koleksi Universitass Brawijaya. Hipotesis daari penelitian ini akan didapatkan deskripsi informasi fenologi dan identitas karakter sifat kualitatif pada beberapa aksesi ciplukan koleksi Universitas Brawijaya. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni hingga September 2021 bertempat di rumah kaca kebun percobaan Universitas Brawijaya, Fakultas Pertanian yang berada di Jatimulyo, Kecamatan Lowokwaru, Kota Malang. Bahan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini diantaranya yaitu koleksi benih 30 aksesi ciplukan, pupuk kandang, pupuk urea, SP36, KCL, dan karbofuran. Sedangkan alat-alat yang digunakan yaitu gelas dan plastik semai, polybag, gembor, celurit, ajir bambu, tali, papan penelitian, alat tulis, kamera hp. Data hasil observasi dianilisis secara statistik deskriptif. Pada pengamtan fenologi, data disajikan secara naratif deskriptif menggunakan skala BBCH dengan 3 digit nomor pengkodean. Sedangkan pada pengamatan karakterisasi disajikan secara naratif deskriptif dalam bentuk tabel dan gambar. Hasil dari penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa tahap pertumbuhan fenologi ciplukan menggunakan skala BBCH ditetapkan dan dideskripsikan menjadi 8 dari 10 tahap pertumbuhan utama, yaitu perkecambahan (tahap 0), perkembangan daun (tahap 1), pembentukkan tunas samping (tahap 2), muncul pembungaan (tahap 5), perkembangan bungga (tahap 6), perkembangan buah (tahap 7), pematangan buah dan biji (tahap 8), dan penuaan (tahap 9). Hasil karakterisasi sifat kualitatif pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa semua aksesi menunjukkan hasil yang beragam pada setiap karakter yang diamati, kecuali karakter warna antosianin batang, bentuk penampang buah, bentuk ujung buah, kuat kelobot, tertutupnya kelobot, kerutan pada kelobot, dan warna biji.
English Abstract
Cutleaf groundcherry (Physalis sp.) Is a plant belonging to solanaceae family. In Indonesia this plant grows spread in various regions and has different variety of names in each region. However, this plant is rarely cultivated and is generally only considered as a weed by farmers. In fact, recently, many studies have shown that cutleaf groundcherry contains many substances that are beneficial for the health sector, so it has the potential to be developed as a cultivated plant source of exotic fruit that function as a nutraceuticals. Plant breeding programs can be a solution in responding to these problems. Information on the phenology and characterization of a plant can be used as basic information for the development of the plant itself or for the scientific knowladge, in the field of plant breeding. This research aims to determine the phenological stages based on the Biologische Bundesanstal, Bundessortenamt and Chemical industry (BBCH) scale and to characterize the qualitative characteristics of several accessions of cutleaf groundcherry collections from Brawijaya University. The hypothesis of this research will be obtained a description of the phenological information and the identity of the qualitative characters in several accessions of cutleaf groundcherry collections from Brawijaya University. This research was carried out from June to September 2021 at the Screen House of the experimental field belongs to Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Brawijaya which is located in Jatimulyo village, Lowokwarru, Malang. The materials that used in this research included 30 accessions of cutleaf groundcherry, manure, urea fertilizer, SP36, KCL, and carbofuran. while the tools that used in this research are glass and plastic seedlings, polybags, gembor, sickles, bamboo stakes, ropes, research boards, stationery, cellphone cameras. Observational data were analyzed by descriptive statistics. In the phenological observation, the data were presented descriptively using the BBCH scale with 3 digit coding numbers. Meanwhile the characterization observations were presented in a descriptive narrative in the form of table and picture. The results of this research showed that the cutleaf groundcherry phenological growth stage using the BBCH scale was defined and described as 8 of the 10 main growth stages, namely germination (stage 0), leaf development (stage 1), side shoot formation (stage 2), emergence of inflorescence (stage 5), flowering (stage 6), fruit development (stage 7), fruit and seed ripening (stage 8), and senescence (stage 9). The results of the characterization of qualitative characters in this research showed that all accessions showed varying results for each character observed, except for the anthocyanin coloration of internode, the shape of the fruit cross and longitudinal section, the shape of fruit apex, the adherence of calyx, the enclosure of calyx, the ribbing of calyx, and the color of the seeds.
