Abstract
Industri pengolahan susu merupakan salah satu sektor industri pangan yang berkembang pesat dalam penerapan teknologi dan inovasi. Salah satu perusahaan yang mengolah susu adalah PT XYZ. PT XYZ merupakan perusahaan yang fokus pada usaha dairy yang berlokasi di Jl. Raya Purwosari Km. 62, Desa Tejowangi, Purwosari, Pasuruan, Jawa Timur. Dalam melaksanakan proses produksinya, PT XYZ membagi departemen menjadi beberapa unit yaitu SKM, dan Liquid. Masing-masing departemen tersebut didukung dengan fasilitas kantor yang bertugas untuk memasukkan data harian, pengetikan dokumen, surat menyurat, dan lain sebagainya. Permasalahan yang dialami oleh beberapa departemen ini adalah kurang optimalnya kelancaran kegiatan kerja karena keterbatasan ruangan, tempat kerja yang kurang rapi dan terkesan kotor, sehingga mengganggu kenyamanan dari setiap karyawan. Dampak dari hal tersebut yaitu menurunnya produktivitas karyawan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengimplementasikan 5S (seiri, seiton, seiso, seiketsu, shitsuke) di main office, kantor departemen SKM, dan kantor departemen Liquid di PT XYZ dan menganalisis pengaruh penerapan 5S terhadap produktivitas kerja karyawan.
English Abstract
The dairy industry is one of the fast-growing food industry sectors in technological innovation. One of the companies that process milk is PT XYZ. PT XYZ is a dairy company that focuses on dairy, located on Jl. Raya Purwosari Km. 62, Desa Tejowangi, Purwosari, Pasuruan, Jawa Timur. To carry out the production process, PT XYZ is dividing some departements that is main office, SKM, and liquid. The department be equipped with office facilities that included daily data, documents, and correspondence. The problem of these departments is that they lack the optimum function because of the limitations of space, it’s rough workstation, so it disrupts employee comfort. The result of this is the decrease in employee productivity. Purpose of this research is to implement 5S (seiri, seiton, seiso, seiketsu, shitsuke) at main office, SKM department, and liquid department office PT XYZ and analyze the effect of implement 5S on employee productivity.
