Abstract

Mengonsumsi makanan sesuai dengan standar porsi yang dibutuhkan tubuh merupakan hal penting yang harus diperhatikan. Porsi makanan yang berlebih dapat menghasilkan sisa makanan. Sisa makanan menunjukkan adanya nutrisi yang terbuang yang seharusnya dapat dikonsumsi oleh tubuh. Selama ini, evaluasi sisa makanan dilakukan dengan beberapa metode, diantaranya metode penimbangan langsung (weight method), metode recall, dan metode taksiran visual (comstock). Seiring dengan perkembangan zaman, dikembangkanlah alat untuk mengevaluasi sisa makanan yaitu Smart Nutrition Box. Alat ini memanfaatkan metode image segmentation untuk mengestimasikan jumlah sisa makanan. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan perbandingan hasil kehilangan zat gizi yang diukur dengan metode image segmentation yang secara otomatis dioperasikan dengan alat smart nutrition box dan metode taksiran visual (comstock).

English Abstract

Consuming food according to the standard portion needed by the body is an important thing that must be considered. Excess food portions can produce leftovers. According to Irawati (2010), food waste shows the presence of wasted nutrients that should be consumed by the body. During this time, the evaluation of food waste is done by several methods, including the direct weighing method (weight method), recall method, and the method of visual assessment (comstock). Along with the times, a tool was developed to evaluate leftovers, namely the Smart Nutrition Box. This tool utilizes the image segmentation method to estimate the amount of leftover food. In this study, a comparison of the results of nutrient loss as measured by the image segmentation method is automatically operated with a smart nutrition box and a visual estimation method (comstock).
