Abstract

PT. Romi Violeta merupakan salah satu produsen mebel di Indonesia dengan spesialisasi produk berbahan baku rotan dan kayu. Dalam kegiatan produksinya, perusahaan memproduksi produk berdasarkan pesanan dari pelanggan (make to order). penjadwalan produksi yang diterapkan oleh perusahaan masih dilakukan secara manual dengan metode FCFS (first come first serve), dimana pesanan yang lebih dahulu datang akan terlebih dahulu dikerjakan yang mengakibatkan proses produksi kurang maksimal karena penggunaan mesin yang belum optimal, dengan presentase keterlambatan rata-rata sebesar 10%. Kegiatan desain teknologi ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengembangkan prototipe perangkat lunak penjadwalan produksi menggunakan metode sequencing dengan membandingkan 4 aturan pengurutan (sequencing) yaitu First Come First Serve (FCFS), Shortest Processing Time (SPT), Long Processing Time (LPT), dan Earliest Due Date (EDD). Rancang bangun perangkat lunak yang dilakukan menggunakan metode coded prototyping yang terdiri dari 3 tahap yaitu analisis kebutuhan user, spesifikasi prototyping, serta analisis dan desain perangkat lunak. Coded prototyping adalah jenis prototyping yang memerlukan penulisan kode program dalam pembuatannya.serta melibatkan pengguna dalam kegiatan mendesain sistem. Media yang digunakan dalam membangun aplikasi penjadwalan produksi adalah Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 dan database SQL server 2008. Dari kegiatan prototyping menghasilkan 1 form login, 8 form master data, 1 form pesanan, 3 form penjadwalan, dan 1 form laporan penjadwalan. Pengujian aplikasi yang dilakukan dengan blackbox testing menghasilkan nilai keberhasilan sebesar 100%. Validasi perhitungan manual yang dilakukan pada form perhitungan dan perbandingan kriteria performansi memberikan hasil yang sama dengan perhitungan pada prototipe aplikasi yang menghasilkan metode usulan yaitu Early Due Date (EDD) dengan total skor sebesar 3,4. Penilaian pengguna terhadap prototipe aplikasi dilakukan dengan penyebaran kuesioner yang menghasilkan nilai kepuasan sebesar 89,25% atau sangat memuaskan

English Abstract

PT. Romi Violeta is one of the furniture manufacturers in Indonesia, specializing in products made from rattan and wood. In its production activities, the company produces products based on orders from the customers (make to order). Production scheduling applied by the company is still done manually using the FCFS (first come first serve) method where orders which come first will be produced first, it results the production process being less optimal due to the machines utilization which are not optimal, with an average delay percentage of 10%. The aims of this final project were to design and develop a production scheduling software prototype using the sequencing method by comparing 4 rules, namely First Come First Serve (FCFS), Shortest Processing Time (SPT), Long Processing Time (LPT), and Earliest Due Date (EDD). The software design was conducted by using coded prototyping method which consists of 3 stages, that are user requirements analysis, prototyping specifications, and software analysis & design. Coded prototyping is a type of prototyping that requires program code writing in its development. It also involves some users in designing process. The media used in building this software are Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 and SQL server 2008 for the database. This prototyping process resulted 1 login form, 8 master data forms, 1 order form, 3 scheduling forms, and 1 scheduling report form. Software testing method used in this activity is blackbox testing which resulted in a success value of 100%. The validation result carried out on the calculation and comparison of scheduling performance criteria gave the same results as the calculations on the software prototype that produced the recommended method, namely Early Due Date (EDD) with a total score of 3.4. User assessment of the application prototype was carried out by distributing questionnaires which resulted in a satisfaction value of 89.25% or very satisfactory
