Abstract
Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Batu sering menggunakan bacaan dalam pembelajaran kompetensi dasar menemukan realitas kehidupan anak yang terefleksi dalam buku cerita anak baik asli maupun terjemahan. Namun, siswa cenderung malas dan merasa jenuh dalam menerima pelajaran. Sehingga menyebabkan hasil belajar siswa kurang maksimal, yakni sebesar 64,7% siswa dengan nilai di bawah KKM. Untuk mengatasi masalah yang terjadi dilapangan, peneliti mengembangkan media yang bernama K-Pop Up, yakni media komik yang dikemas dalam bentuk pop up book. Terdapat rumusan masalah yang diperoleh berdasarkan permasalahan yang terjadi di lapangan, yakni (1) bagaimana pengembangan media K-Pop Up dan (2) bagaimana hasil belajar yang ditunjukkan oleh siswa ketika menggunakan media K-Pop Up? Penelitian ini menggunakan model penelitian dan pengembangan Borg dan Gall yang dimodifikasi menjadi tujuh tahap, meliputi (1) penelitian dan pengumpulan informasi, (2) perencanaan, (3) pengembangan bentuk pendahuluan produk, (4) uji coba lapangan awal, (5) merevisi produk berdasarkan uji coba lapangan awal, (6) uji coba lapangan, (7) penyempurnaan produk berdasarkan hasil uji coba lapangan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, diperoleh persentase rata-rata dari hasil pengisian angket validasi media sebesar 96,01% dan angket respon siswa sebesar 96,35%. Secara keseluruhan media termasuk dalam kualifikasi sangat valid. Media pada setiap tahapnya mengalami peningkatan kelayakan. Sehingga media dapat dikatakan layak untuk diterapkan dalam pembelajaran. Selain itu, peningkatan juga terjadi pada hasil belajar siswa dari 64,7% siswa dengan nilai di atas KKM, meningkat menjadi 96,87%. Maka dapat dikatakan bahwa media dapat meningkatkan minat membaca dan belajar siswa pada kompetensi dasar menemukan realitas kehidupan anak yang terefleksi dalam buku cerita anak baik asli maupun terjemahan.
English Abstract
Indonesian Language learning in Junior High School Muhammadiyah 8 Batu often uses reading text in teaching of the basic competence “discovering the reality of children's lives which are reflected in the children's book or a good translation”. However, the students tend to be lazy and feel saturated in receiving the lessons. So, the students’ score is not satisfying, i.e. of 64.7% of students with a score under standard minimum score. In order to resolve the problem that occurs in the field, the researcher developed a media named K-Pop Up, media comics packaged in the form of a pop-up book. There were two research problems which raised from the field, namely (1) how to develop K-Pop Up? and (2) how the students’ score after using the K-Pop Up? This research used Borg and Gall research and development model which was modified became seven stage i.e. (1) need analysis (2) planning (3) developing product, (4) try out, (5) revising the product, (6) try out, (7) finishing the product based on the try out. Based on the data analysis, revealed the mean of the media score based on the expert validation was 96.01% and students’ questionnaire was 96.35%. So, generally the media was very valid. In every stage, this media was developed the suitability. Therefore, this media was suitable for teaching. Besides, the students’ score were increased from 64.7% to 96.87%. In other words, this media was able to increase students’ reading interest and learning in basic competence “discovering the reality of children's lives which are reflected in the children's book or a good translation”.
