Abstract
Stunting merupakan kondisi gagal tumbuh yang terjadi pada anak sehingga menyebabkan pertumbuhan anak menjadi terhambat yang ditandai dengan nilai z-score PB/U atau TB/U di bawah minus dua standar deviasi standar pertumbuhan anak yang dibuat oleh World Health Organization (WHO). Salah satu faktor yang secara langsung mempengaruhi kejadian stunting pada balita yaitu pemberian makanan tambahan yang tidak adekuat. Studi literatur ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian makanan tambahan berupa Lipid based Nutrient Supplement (LNS) terhadap balita stunting. Literatur yang digunakan adalah jurnal penelitian yang didapatkan melalui penelusuran kata kunci (keywords) sesuai konsep boolean operators “stunting OR stunted AND Children under five OR Infant AND Lipid Based Nutrient supplement”. Hasil studi literatur menunjukkan bahwa pemberian LNS berpengaruh terhadap balita stunting yang dapat dilihat dari pertumbuhan linear berupa penambahan panjang badan dan perubahan nilai z-score PB/U serta penurunan prevalensi kejadian stunting. Pemberian LNS yang berpengaruh signifikan kepada balita stunting yaitu dengan jangka waktu pemberian 6 – 12 bulan.
English Abstract
Stunting is a condition of growth failure that occurs in children, which causes stunted growth, which is indicated by LAZ (lenght-for-age z-score) value below minus two standard deviations of the child's growth standard made by World Health Organization (WHO). One of the factors that directly affects the incidence of stunting in children under five is inadequate supplementary feeding. This literature study aims to determine the effect of supplementary feeding in the form of Lipid based Nutrient Supplement (LNS) on stunting infants. The literature used is a research journal obtained through keyword searches according to the concept of boolean operators "stunting OR stunted AND Children under five OR Infant AND Lipid Based Nutrient supplements". The results of the literature study show that the provision of LNS has an effect on stunting children under five, which can be seen from the linear growth in the form of increasing body length and changes in the PB / U z-score and decreasing the prevalence of stunting. Giving LNS which has a significant effect on stunting children is with a period of 6-12 months.
