Abstract

Bahasa mempunyai banyak jenis dan variasi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, salah satu contohnya adalah bahasa slang. Sosial media merupakan alat komunikasi masa kini yang berbasis internet yang sedang marak di gunakan oleh seluruh manusia yang ada di bumi untuk berkomunikasi hingga melakukan pekerjaan. Penelitian ini membahas tentang proses perubahan kata dalam bahasa slang yang terdapat pada percakapan dalam grup roleplaying K-Pop di telegram. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dalam penelitian yang melibatkan percakapan orang-orang dalam sosial media telegram yang tergabung dalam grup roleplaying K-Pop ini; peneliti menemukan 45 percakapan yang mengandung slang dan perubahan bentuk kata diucapkan oleh partisipan di dalam chat percakapan tersebut. Terdapat 25 borrowing, 18 multiple processes, 11 blending,7 clipping,4 compounding, 3 coinage, 2 prefix&suffix, dan 1 conversion. Borrowing adalah tipe yang sering ditemukan. Serta terdapat fungsi dari slang yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini. Fungsi dari slang yang sering ditemukan dalam percakapan partisipan adalah pursuing self-identity, show emotive feelings, dan achieving politeness. Partisipan sering menggunakan borrowing dalam percakapan sehari-hari karena banyak terdapat kata yang berasal dari bahasa asing. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti juga menemukan bahwa sebagian besar partisipan menggunakan fungsi dari slang pursuing self-identity untuk mengklaim dan menyatakan, atau menyimpulkan, dan show emotive feelings dalam percakapan mereka yang menggunakan bahasa slang untuk menyatakan emosi pembicara

English Abstract

Language is a means of communication to pass information within the society. Language has plenty of diversity by region and may vary in its uses during daily activities; one of its variations is slang. Its uses also often occur in a conversation, peculiarly within the social media platform. Nowadays, social media has peered as important media today to communicate and even become a servitude means. This research aims to study the morphology study of wordformation process discipline within chat conversations of a roleplaying K-Pop group inside the telegram social-media platform. As a method of analysis, the researcher applies a descriptive qualitative approach in this research revolves around slang words exposures of the collaborative conversation inside the roleplaying K-Pop group within telegram social media platform; the researcher concluded that 45 conversation occurrences contain slang and word-formation process found in the conversations sparked by the participants. The findings show 25 borrowing, 18 multiple processes, 11 blending, 7 clipping, 4 compounding, 3 coinage, 2 prefix&suffix, and 1 conversion. Borrowing process lead as the top result as the type of word-formation frequently used. There are also occurrences of function of slang identified within this research; the identified function of slang occurs are ―pursuit of self-identity”, “show emotive feelings”, and ―achieving politeness”. Participant frequently uses borrowing during daily conversations activity; this insight signified by non-native word usage of choice. This research also found that, of the majority, the participants were accustomed to the function of slang ―pursuit of self-identity” to proclaim and affirm, or even to conclude, and ―show emotive feelings” during their communication with slang words to express the interlocutor emotional state
