Abstract
Ekosistem terumbu karang merupakan ekosistem laut yang penting karena menjadi sumber kehidupan bagi beraneka ragam biota laut. Kerusakan terumbu karang yang terjadi di Pantai Damas tersebut disebabkan oleh faktor antropogenik salah satunya penangkapan ikan menggunakan alat tangkap tidak ramah lingkungan. Upaya mempercepat pemulihan terumbu karang, beberapa metode rehabilitasi yang dapat dilakukan diantaranya dengan penenggelaman terumbu buatan. Penggunaan teknologi SIG dapat membantu analisis untuk memilih lokasi yang tepat untuk penenggelaman Artificial Reef berdasarkan data pengukuran parameter fisika. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kondisi oseanografi fisika dan mengetahui kesesuaian lokasi perairan Pantai Damas untuk peletakan Artificial Reef. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret 2020 yang berlokasi di perairan Pantai Damas, Kabupaten Trenggalek. Parameter yang diambil meliputi kecerahan perairan, gelomang, arus, kedalaman, total suspended solid, substrat dasar perairan, suhu, dan kekeruhan. Hasil identifikasi nilai parameter oseanografi di perairan Pantai Damas, Kabupaten Trenggalek terdiri atas: (a). kedalaman berkisar 0 – 45 meter, (b). kecerahan berkisar 2 – 6 meter, (c). suhu perairan berkisar 25.18ºC – 29.59ºC, (d). turbiditas perairan berkisar 0.3 – 4.32 NTU, (e). tipe substrat dasar perairan Pantai Damas pasir halus berwarna hitam, (f). kecepatan arus berkisar 0.1 m/s – 0.4 m/s, (g). pasang surut perairan Pantai Damas bertipe pasang surut harian ganda (semidiurnal), (h). rata-rata tinggi gelombang perairan Pantai Damas pada pagi, siang, dan sore hari adalah 5.6 cm, 8.14 cm, dan 6.2 cm, (i). total suspended solid perairan Pantai Damas berkisar 35 – 351 mg/L. Hasil analisis kesesuaian perairan bagi peletakkan Artificial Reef di perairan Pantai Damas Kabupaten Trenggalek, berada pada kelas Sesuai (S2).
English Abstract
Coral reef ecosystems are important marine ecosystems because they provide a source of life for a variety of marine life. Damage to coral reefs that occurred on Damas Beach was caused by anthropogenic factors, one of which was fishing using environmentally friendly fishing gear. Efforts to speed up the recovery of coral reefs, some rehabilitation methods that can be done include sinking artificial reefs. The use of GIS technology can help the analysis to choose the right location for sinking Artificial Reef based on measurement data of physical parameters. The purpose of this study was to determine the physical oceanographic conditions and to determine the suitability of the Damas Beach location for the placement of Artificial Reef. This research was conducted in March 2020 located in the waters of Damas Beach, Trenggalek Regency. The parameters taken include the brightness of the waters, waves, currents, depth, total suspended solid, substrate, temperature, and turbidity. The results of identification of oceanographic parameters in the waters of Damas Beach, Trenggalek Regency consist of: (a). depths range from 0 - 45 meters, (b). brightness ranges from 2 - 6 meters, (c). water temperature ranges from 25.18ºC - 29.59ºC, (d). water turbidity ranges from 0.3 - 4.32 NTU, (e). type of substrate base of Damas Beach fine sand black, (f). current speed ranges from 0.1 m / s - 0.4 m / s, (g). the tidal waters of Damas Beach are of the type of daily tidal (semidiurnal), (h). the average wave height of Damas Beach in the morning, afternoon and evening is 5.6 cm, 8.14 cm and 6.2 cm, (i). the total suspended solid waters of Damas Beach range from 35 - 351 mg / L. The results of the analysis of the suitability of the waters for the placement of Artificial Reef in the waters of Damas Beach, Trenggalek Regency, are in the Appropriate class (S2).
