Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara ketidakpuasan tubuh dan harga diri pada remaja laki-laki. Subjek yang digunakan adalah laki-laki yang berusia 12-21 tahun yang berada di bangku SMP-SMA atau sederajat. Teknik pengambilan data yang digunakan yaitu kuantitatif korelasional. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu skala ketidakpuasan tubuh yang telah dimodifikasi dari teori ketidakpuasan tubuh Rosen dan Reiter (1996) oleh Ardilah (2017) dan skala harga diri yang telah diadaptasi oleh Azwar (2015) dari Rosenberg (1965). Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik korelasi product moment dari Pearson. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu terdapat hubungan signifikan yang bersifat negatif antara variabel ketidakpuasan tubuh dan harga diri pada remaja laki-laki.
English Abstract
This study aims to determine the corelation between body dissatisfaction and self-esteem in male adolescents. The subjects used were males aged 12-21 years old who were in junior high school until senior high school or equivalent. The data collection technique used is correlational quantitative. The research instrument used in this study is the body dissatisfaction theory of Rosen and Reiter (1996) by Ardilah (2017) and the self-esteem scale that has been adapted by Azwar (2015) from Rosenberg (1965). The data analysis technique used is Pearson’s product moment correlation technique. The results of this study are there is a significant negative correlation between body dissatisfaction and self-esteem in male adolescene.
