Abstract
Jumlah penduduk yang terus bertambah mendorong meningkatnya kebutuhan pangan, seperti sayuran. Kebutuhan sayuran yang terus meningkat menyebabkan muncul banyak pasar tradisional dan terjadi penumpukan sampah sampah sayuran yang menyebabkan bau dan penyakit. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan pengomposan sampah sayuran dengan menambahkan kotoran sapi dan dedak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah membuat kompos berbahan sampah sayuran dengan menambahkan kotoran sapi dan dedak dan mempelajari proses pengomposan serta kualitas kompos. Rancangan Percobaan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan yaitu sampah sayuran tanpa tambahan, sampah sayuran dengan penambahan dedak 10%, sampah sayuran dengan penambahan kotoran sapi 10%, serta sampah sayuran dengan penambahan kotoran sapi 5% dan dedak 5%. Masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 kali, sehingga terdapat 12 sampel dan pengomposan masing-masing perlakuan dilakukan dalam kotak sterofoam dengan volume 15,81cm3dengan berat bahan kompos masing-masing 2,5kg. Pada dasar sterofoam diberi kawat ram dengan sisi miring sebesar 21cm, sudut kemiringan sebesar 26° dan pengomposan dilakukan selama 21 hari. Kompos yang dihasilkan pada hari ke-21 menunjukkan warna kehitaman menyerupai tanah. Suhu kompos tertinggi selama 21 hari pengomposan terdapat pada hari Ke-2 pengomposan pada perlakuan P4 dan pH tertinggi sebesar 8 terdapat pada perlakuan P4 di hari ke-13 pengomposan Perlakuan P1 memiliki kandungan nitrogen total, Kalium dan Nitrat paling tinggi diantara perlakuan lainnya, yaitu sebesar 2,97%, 3,00% dan nitrat sebesar 0,70%, namun C/N rasio dari P1 yang sebesar 8 tidak memenuhi standart SNI yang berkisar antara 10-20. Kandungan Fosfor dalam P2 lebihix tinggi dari perlakuan lainnya, yaitu sebesar 1,06% dan perlakuan P3 memiliki kandungan nitrogen dan kalium yang cukup tinggi yaitu sebesar 2,32% dan 2,95%. Pada perlakuan P4 memiliki kandungan C-organik dan C/N rasio tertinggi diantara perlakuan lainnya, yaitu sebesar 29,15% dan 16.
English Abstract
The growing population is increasing food needs, such as vegetables. Vegetable needs that continue to increase cause many traditional markets to emerge and there is accumulation of garbage from vegetable waste causes odors and diseases. Therefore, composting of vegetable waste is done by adding cow dung and bran. The purpose of this study is to make compost made from vegetable waste by adding cow dung and bran and studying the composting process and the quality of compost. The experimental design used in this study is completely randomized design (RAL) with 4 treatments namely vegetable waste without additives, vegetable waste with 10% bran addition, vegetable waste by adding 10% cow manure, and vegetable waste with 5% addition of cow dung and bran 5%. Each treatment was repeated 3 times, so that there were 12 samples and composting of each treatment was carried out in a sterofoam box with a volume of 15.81 cm3 with a weight of each treatment is 2.5 kg. On the bottom of sterofoam placed a wire ram with 21cm length, the slope angle is 26 ° and composting is carried out for 21 days. The compost produced on the 21st day shows a blackish color resembling soil. The highest compost temperature for 21 days of composting was found on Day 2 of composting in treatment P4 and the highest pH of 8 was found in treatment P4 on day 13 composting. Treatment P1 had the highest total nitrogen, potassium and nitrate content among other treatments, is 2.97%, 3.00% and nitrate of 0.70%, but the C / N ratio of P1 which is 8 does not meet SNI standards ranging from 10-20. Phosphorus content in P2 is higher than other treatments, namely 1.06% and treatment P3 has a high nitrogen and potassium content of 2.32% and 2.95%. In treatment P4xi it has the highest C-organic content and the highest C / N ratio among other treatments, which is 29.15% and 16.
