Roziq, Muhammad (2019) Inovasi Produksi Gula Semut Sebagai Food Souvenir Khas Blitar Melalui Pendekatan Sociopreneurship. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.

Abstract

English Abstract

Kemloko Village, Nglegok Subdistrict, Blitar Regency is one of the centers producing coconut sugar. Coconut sugar produced by villagers is generally high in water so that the shelf life is short. This causes the selling price to be low and the economy of the residents of Kemloko Village is weak. The selling value of coconut sugar can be increased by processing coconut sugar into Palm Sugar with lower water content (3%), longer shelf life (1 year), and higher selling price (Rp 20,000 / kg). The purpose of this study is to produce and market Palm Sugar, as well as improve the welfare of craftsmen and residents of Kemloko Village through sociopreneurship. The Palm Sugar in the center of Kemloko Village is produced and marketed by the Rawayatha Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The trademark of the Palm Sugar produced is Yova Palm Sugar which is promoted as a typical Blitar food souvenir. Yova Palm Sugar is produced through 3 methods namely direct processing, type 1 reprocessing, and type 2 reprocessing. Business feasibility is analyzed based on the R / C ratio. Promotion is done online and offline. Yova Palm Sugar marketing is done directly to consumers and in collaboration with partners such as 56 stores and resellers. The potential utilization of coconut sugar into palm sugar by MSMEs Rawayatha increases the income of coconut sugar craftsmen from Rp. 65,000 / day to Rp. 85,000 / day or income is increased by 30.7%. Yova Palm Sugar is marketed as a Blitar’s special food souvenir and is able to achieve the highest sales of 56 Yova Palm Sugar boxes with an income ofv Rp.840,000, - compared to other sales methods during the period July-December 2018. In addition, MSMEs Rawayatha succeed in applying sociopreneurship by buying continuous raw materials from coconut sugar craftsmen with higher prices (Rp 15,000 to Rp 17,000 per kilogram) compared to the purchase price of middlemen (Rp 12,000 to Rp 13,500 per kilogram) and absorbing labor from residents of Kemloko Village.
