Abstract

SMAN 1 Bangkalan merupakan sekolah yang memanfaatkan website sebagai media untuk memberikan informasi terkait sekolah yang beralamat di www.sman1bangkalan.sch.id. Hasil wawancara dengan 5 pengguna terdapat beberapa masalah pada tampilan desain antarmuka yang mempengaruhi usability website SMAN 1 Bangkalan, Masalah tersebut dianalisa sesuai dengan kategori yang ada pada metode WEBUSE. Selama pembuatan dan pengembangan website SMAN 1 Bangkalan developer kurang melibatkan peran manusia sebagai pengguna website untuk proses desain antarmuka. Maka, dilakukan perbaikan desain antarmuka website menggunakan pendekatan Human Centered Design (HCD) untuk membuat sistem yang berfokus pada pengguna, sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan persyaratan, menerapkan faktor manusia, pengetahuan, dan teknik usability. Pada pendekatan HCD, tedapat tahapan yang harus dilakukan dalam pengembangan sistem, salah satunya evaluasi. Pada tahap evaluasi, metode yang digunakan adalah WEBUSE untuk mengukur tingkat usability website, yang terdiri dari 4 kategori yaitu Content, Organization, and Readability, Navigation and Link, UI Design, dan Performance and Effectiveness. Hasil evaluasi usability website SMAN 1 Bangkalan mengalami peningkatan nilai usability antara desain lama dan desain perbaikan. Nilai usability untuk website saat ini secara keseluruhan 0,55 berada pada tingkat moderate, sedangkan hasil evaluasi usability desain perbaikan secara keseluruhan 0,74 berada pada tingkat good.

English Abstract

SMAN 1 Bangkalan is a school that uses a website as a media to provide information related to schools by visiting at www.sman1bangkalan.sch.id. The results of interviews with 5 users there are some problems in the user interface design that affects the website usability of SMAN 1 Bangkalan, the problem is analyzed according to the categories in the WEBUSE method. During the creation and development of SMAN 1 Bangkalan website, the developer did not involve the role of humans as website users for the interface design process. So, the website interface design was improved using the Human Centered Design (HCD) approach to create a user-focused system, in accordance with needs and requirements, applying human factors, knowledge, and usability techniques. In the HCD approach, there are stages that must be done in system development, one of which is evaluation. In the evaluation phase, the method used is WEBUSE to measure the level of website usability, which consists of 4 categories, that is Content, Organization, and Readability, Navigation and Link, UI Design, and Performance and Effectiveness. The results of the usability evaluation of SMAN 1 Bangkalan website have increased the usability value between the old design and the new design improvement. The overall usability value for the website is 0.55 at moderate level, while the usability evaluation results for overall improvement design 0.74 are at good level.
