Arvianti, Militanisa Zamzara (2019) Pengaruh Kombinasi Monosodium Glutamat dan Diet Tinggi Lemak Terhadap Berat Lemak Visceral Pada Tikus Wistar (Rattus novergicus) Dewasa. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.
Abstract
English Abstract
Nowadays, high-fat diet mostly served together with MonosodiumiGlutamate (MSG). Much research has been done on the High Fat Diet (DTL) and MSG on body weight of experimental animals. The provision of DTL increases the body weight of the trial, whereas in the provision of MSG there is controversy regarding the provision of MSG assistance to experimental animals. Previous studies claim that MSG induces obesity. However, recent research has begun to change this picture, where the results show a decrease in body weight of experimental animals. Thisistudy aimsito determineithe combination of DTL and MSG on the visceral fat weight of adult wistar rats. The research was carried out for 56 days using 30 Rattus novergicus strains of Wistaristrain whichiwereidivided intoi6 groupsinamely control group (-), Control (+) 1 DTL, Control (+) 2 MSG 0.70mg / gBB, Treatment 1 (DTL + MSG 0.05mg / gBB), Treatment 2 (DTL + MSG 0.20 mg / gBB), and Treatment 3 (DTL + MSG 0.35 mg / gBB). The results showedia significantidifference in fat weight betweenithe DTL and MSG combination groups and theinegativeicontrol group (p = 0.00). The difference in fat weight occurred in the Treatment group 3 (DTL + MSG 0.35mg / gBB) with the control group (+) 1 DTL (p = 0.032). Theiconclusion of thisistudyiis that the combination of DTL with MSG increases the visceral fat weight, but the administration of MSG increases the visceral fat weight proportional to the dose of MSG given.
