Abstract

Hidromakrofita yang ditanam sebagai vegetasi riparian di saluran irigasi buatan diduga dapat mempengaruhi kualitas air irigasi dan organisme air yang ada di dalamnya. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu menentukan profil kualitas fisika, kimia air serta struktur komunitas zooplankton di sepanjang saluran irigasi buatan yang ditanami vegetasi riparian sepanjang 200 m dan menentukan pengaruh penanaman hidromakrofita terhadap peningkatan kualitas air berdasarkan indeks biotik dari zooplankton. Penelitian dilakukan di saluran irigasi buatan di Desa Pucangsongo, Kecamatan Pakis Kabupaten Malang. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan di lima stasiun dengan tiga titik pengulangan pada masing-masing stasiun berdasarkan adanya tanaman riparian yang telah ditanam dengan jarak tertentu. Parameter fisika dan kimia air yang diukur meliputi suhu air, pH, DO, BOD, TOM dan alkalinitas. Data kualitas air antar stasiun dan stasiun dianalisis menggunakan uji One Way ANOVA dan perbedaan kualitas air dianalisis menggunakan analisis cluster dan biplot. Profil kualitas fisika dan kimia air masih memenuhi baku mutu, sedangkan pada struktur komunitas zooplankton didapatkan 43 spesies zooplankton. Hasil perhitungan INP menunjukan nilai yang kodominan. Berdasarkan beberapa indeks biotik, saluran irigasi buatan termasuk belum tercemar toksik (H’). Semua stasiun tergolong kategori keseragaman tinggi (E) dan termasuk dalam kategori dominansi parsial rendah (Id). Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan penanaman vegetasi riparian yang semakin panjang mampu meningkatkan kualitas air irigasi buatan berdasarkan zooplankton sebagai bioindikator.

English Abstract

Hidromacrophyte that planted as vegetation at irrigation channels thought to affect water quality in irrigation channel and aquatic organism in it. The purpose of this research is to determined the physic profile quality, water chemistry and structure of zooplankton community along the irrigation channels that planted with riparian vegetation as far as 200 m and determine the efect of planting hidromacrophyte to the escalation of water quality based on biotic index from zooplankton. The research has been done at the artificial irrigation channels at Pucangsongo village, Pakis sub-district Malang district. Sampling is done from 5 stations with 3 repetition spots from each station based on the presence of riparian plant that has been planted with a certain distance. Physic parameter and water chemistry that measured covering water temperature, pH, DO, BOD, TOM, and alkalinity. Water quality from each stastions analysed using One Way ANOVA test and diferrence in water quality analysed using cluster analysis and biplot. Research results on physic profile quality and water chemistry still fullfil the quality book, while in the zooplankton community structure, 43 zooplankton species were found. INP calculation results showed codominant value. Based on several biotic index, artificial irrigation channels classified not polluted (H’). All stations classified as high uniformity (E) and included in low partial dominance (Id). Based on these results can be concluded the longer the distance to implantation of riparian vegetation can enhance the quality of artificial irrigation channels water based on zooplankton as bioindicator.
