Abstract
Pengharum ruangan mengandung senyawa berbahaya seperti formaldehid dan benzena yang memicu terbentuknya radikal bebas dalam tubuh. Telah dilakukan penelitian terhadap pengaruh pemberian antioksidan dari campuran ekstrak bawang merah, jambu biji, pare, dan brokoli dalam 5 variasi dosis (51 mg; 69,5 mg; 88 mg; 106,5 mg; 125 mg) terhadap sifat kelistrikan dan keberadaan radikal bebas pada organ ginjal mencit yang dipaparkan pengharum ruangan selama 23 hari. Berdasarkan hasil uji ESR dan MDA, semua sampel perlakuan mengandung radikal jenis O2-. Impedansi listrik ginjal yang diukur pada frekuensi 1 Hz sampai 1 MHz bernilai antara 344–810 . Resistivitas, konduktivitas, dan konstanta dielektrik ginjal yang diukur dengan multimeter berturut-turut bernilai antara 70–139 .m; 0,009–0,014 S/m; dan 6×108–2×109. Kadar MDA bernilai antara 162–625 ng/mL. Dosis antioksidan yang paling efektif dalam mengurangi stres oksidatif adalah 69,5 mg. Pada dosis tersebut didapatkan nilai impedansi listrik, resistivitas, konduktivitas, dan konstanta dielektrik ginjal berturut-turut sebesar 809,92 ; 116,69 .m; 8,99×10-3 S/m; dan 2×109. Kadar MDA bernilai 337,67 ng/mL.
English Abstract
Air fresheners contain dangerous compounds such as formaldehyde and benzene which trigger the formation of free radicals in the body. Research has been conducted on the effect of antioxidants from a mixture of red onion extract, guava, bitter melon, and broccoli in 5 variants of dose (51 mg; 69.5 mg; 88 mg; 106.5 mg; 125 mg) on the electrical properties and the presence of free radicals in mice kidney organs which were exposed to air freshener for 23 days. Through tests conducted with ESR and MDA levels, all samples contain O2- radicals. The electrical impedance of kidneys measured at a frequency from 1 Hz to 1 MHz ranges from 344–810 . The resistivity, conductivity, and dielectric constant carried out with a multimeter measured in a range from 70–139 .m; 0,009–0,014 S/m; and 6×108–2×109. MDA levels measured in a range from 162–625 ng/mL. The most effective antioxidant dose for reducing oxidative stress was 69.5 mg. At this dose the electrical impedance, resistivity, conductivity, and cell dielectric constant values were 809.92 ; 116.69 .m; 8.99×10-3 S/m; and 2×109. The MDA levels value were 337.67 ng/mL.
