Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas pengaruh perubahan sudut pointing antena subscriber jaringan wimax standar 802.16d. Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) IEEE 802.16d merupakan salah satu teknologi yang mampu memberikan data secara cepat dan efisien secara nirkabel. Dalam implementasinya, WiMAX memiliki kekhawatiran apakah perubahan sudut pointing pada antena penerima mempengaruhi sinyal yang diterima oleh antena penerima menjadi lemah dan performansi menjadi terganggu dengan cara melihat 4 parameter yaitu signal to noise ratio, throughput, delay dan packet loss. Sudut pointing antena penerima akan dirubah secara mekanik (manual). Hasil penelitian menunjukan untuk nilai signal to noise ratio (SNR) terbesar terdapat pada sudut 180° di sudut azimuth subscriber 1 dengan nilai 27.7 dB. Semakin besar nilai SNR, maka kualitas transmisi sinyal akan semakin baik. Nilai delay pada perubahan sudut pointing antena berdasarkan standar ITU-T G.114 termasuk dalam kategori baik dengan nilai <150ms. Nilai delay terbesar yaitu 0.03493 s pada perubahan sudut elevasi subscriber unit 1 sebesar 30º dengan scheduling RTPS sedangkan nilai delay terkecil yaitu 0.00413 s pada perubahan sudut elevasi -30º subscriber unit 1 dengan scheduling UGS. Nilai throughput pada perubahan sudut pointing antena relatif baik. Nilai throughput terbesar yaitu 3.57813 Mbit/s pada perubahan sudut azimuth subscriber unit 2 270º dengan scheduling UGS sedangkan nilai throughput terkecil 0.64355 Mbit/s pada perubahan sudut azimuth subscriber unit 1 0º dengan scheduling UGS. Semakin besar nilai throughput maka proses penerimaan paket data di sisis pengguna semakin cepat. Nilai packet loss pada perubahan sudut pointing antena dengan nilai terbesar 27.7% pada sudut elevasi 30º subscriber 2 dengan scheduling RTPS. Sedangkan nilai terendah 1.12% pada sudut azimuth 270º subscriber 2 dengan scheduling BE. Menurut standar TIPHON 2012, nilai packet loss pada nilai tertinggi termasuk kategori buruk karena memiliki persentase >15% sedangkan pada nilai terendah termasuk kategori bagus karena memiliki presentase 0 – 15%.

English Abstract

This study discusses the effect of changing the pointing angle of the 802.16d standard wimax network subscriber antenna. Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) IEEE 802.16d is one technology that is able to provide data quickly and efficiently wirelessly. In its implementation, WiMAX has concerns whether the change in pointing angle on the receiving antenna affects the signal received by the receiving antenna to be weak and the performance becomes disrupted by looking at 4 parameters, namely signal to noise ratio, throughput, delay and packet loss. The pointing point of the receiving antenna will be changed mechanically (manually). The results showed that the largest signal to noise ratio (SNR) value was found at an angle of 180 ° in the angle of azimuth subscriber 1 with a value of 27.7 dB. The greater the SNR value, the better the quality of signal transmission. The delay value on the change in antenna pointing angle based on the G.114 ITU-T standard is included in the good category with a value of <150ms. The biggest delay value is 0.03493 s at the change in elevation angle of subscriber unit 1 by 30º with RTPS scheduling while the smallest delay value is 0.00413 s at the change of elevation angle -30º subscriber unit 1 with scheduling UGS. The throughput value at the change of antenna pointing angle is relatively good. The largest throughput value is 3.57813 Mbit / s at the azimuth subscriber unit 2 270º angle change by scheduling UGS while the smallest throughput value is 0.64355 Mbit / s at azimuth subscriber unit 1 0º angle change with UGS scheduling. The greater the value of throughput, the faster the process of receiving data packets on the user's side. The value of packet loss on changes in the antenna pointing angle with the largest value is 27.7% at the 30º elevation angle subscriber 2 with RTPS scheduling. While the lowest value is 1.12% at the angle of azimuth 270º subscriber 2 by scheduling BE. According to the TIPHON 2012 standard, the value of packet loss at the highest value is in the bad category because it has a percentage of> 15% while the lowest value is in the good category because it has a percentage of 0-15%.
