Abstract
Latar belakang : Kepemimpinan direktur sangat menentukan warna rumah sakit. Pandangan karyawan terhadap fenomena kepemimpinan di RS X diharapkan dapat menggambarkan secara utuh gaya kepemimpinan direktur dari sisi pengalaman karyawan. Gambaran ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pertimbangan strategi untuk meningkatkan kinerja rumah sakit.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui secara mendalam makna pengalaman karyawan terhadap gaya kepemimpinan pada masa transisi. Metode : Desain penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif fenomenologi. Proses pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode wawancara mendalam kepada enam karyawan dan observasi. Proses pengumpulan data dilaksanakan di RS X dimulai saat studi pendahuluan pada bulan Juli 2017 . Hasil : Analisa data menghasilkan dua belas tema. Tema inti berhubungan dengan kenyaman dalam bekerja. Tema inti merupakan hal utama yang dicari karyawan dalam bekerja. Beberapa tema yang didapatkan menggambarkan gaya kepemimpinan menjadikan perhatian dari karyawan rumah sakit. Gaya kepemimpinan yang dinamis dan memberikan perubahan positif menginspirasi karyawan. Kemampuan berkomunikasi juga berperan menjadi media transfer pengetahuan kepada karyawan, serta membangun kepercayaan kepada pemimpin. Konsep kepemimpinan transformasional dikombinasikan dengan gaya kepemimpinan transaksional merupakan gambaran harapan karyawan tentang gaya kepemimpinan yang sesuai di rumah sakit. Gambaran pengalaman karyawan terhadap gaya kepemimpinan memberikan makna nyata terhadap motivasi, semangat kerja karyawan dan budaya organisasi. Dalam pengalaman karyawan kombinasi konsep gaya kepemimpinan transformasional dan gaya kepemimpinan transaksional merubah organisasi rumah sakit melalui visi dan misi dan efek reward-punishment . Kesimpulan : Kombinasi gaya kepemimpinan transformasional dan transaksional merupakan model pemimpin idaman RS kepolisian di kota Batu
English Abstract
Background: The leadership of a director determines highly of a hospital’s characteristics. Employees’s experience on the phenomenon of leadership approach in hospital are expected to describe the style of leadership as a whole part. A picture of the leadership style from the employee. Employee opinion is expected to give strategic consideration to improve hospital performance. The purpose of this study is to know in depth the meaning of the views of employees on the style of leadership in the transtitional phase. Methods: This research utilizes qualitative phenomenology method. Data collection is done via in depth interview to six employees and observations. The process of data collection is done in X Hospital in Batu from preliminary studies July 2017. Result: The data analysis yielded 12 themes . The core themes about job satisfaction . Job satisfaction is the main thing that employers are looking for. Another themes give describe that leadership style has become a concern of the hospital’s employees and employers. The employees consider the hospital director’s style as a model for change, both personal and organizational change. A dynamic and positively-impacting leadership style inspires these employees deeply. Communication skills also play an important role in knowledge transfer to the employees, building trust towards leader. The concept of transformational leadership combined with transactional leadership presents a real change in the appearance, motivation, and work spirit of employees and organizational culture. Implementation of ethical standards of attitude looks, innovation of service developments, and performance targets become the magnetic components to the employees. The combination of transactional leadership style and transformational leadership style changes hospital organization through its visions and missions and presents a reward-punishment system which function is to raise welfare level as an organizational change. Conclusion: The combination of transformational and transactional leadership style is an ideal leadership model in police hospital in Batu City.
