Numerous efforts have been undertaken to develop suitable alternatives in order to counteract the anticipated drawbacks associated with the ban of antibiotic growth promoters (AGPs). The research purpose is to investigate possible effects of using mannan-riched fraction (MRF) and probiotic enhanced liquid acidifier as natural growth promoters (NGPs) on growth performance, relative organ weight, serum blood biochemistry, intestinal properties, and intestinal micro flora in broilers. A total of 320 broilers (male and females) 1-d-old Arbor Acres broilers IV were randomly assigned 4 dietary treatments with 4 replicate cages per treatments and 20 (10 males and 10 females) broiler per cage. Eight chickens were sacrificed at 21, 28, and 35 days of age. The four treatments were dietary with control (T0), basal diet + MRF (Actigen™) 80 g/100 kg) (T1), Drinking water + 2 mL/L combination feed additive (Acid-Pak 4-way®) (T2), and basal feed + MRF (Actigen™) 80 g/100 kg + drinking water 2 mL/L combination feed additive (Acid-Pak 4-way®) (T3). The parameters observed were growth performances, relative organ weight, blood biochemistry, intestinal properties, and intestinal micro flora. The results showed that using MRF and combination with probiotic-enhanced liquid acidifier on growth performance had no significant differences among treatments. The use of MRF and combination with probiotic-enhanced liquid acidifier did not share significant difference on organ weight and relative organ weight (%) at 21, 28, and 35 days of age. On the blood biochemistry, the effect of supplementation began to reduce the amount of glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase (GOT) and glutamic pyruvic transaminase (GPT) (male) at 21 days periods. It also reduced the level of total cholesterol (TCHOL) of broiler. The supplementation of MRF helps to increase surface area of villus height and crypt depth of male broiler in 21 and 28 days of age. However, the number of villus height increase compared with control at 35 days of age. To sum up, the addition of MRF and combination with probiotic enhanced liquid acidifier has not significantly different (P > 0.05) on growth performance, relative organ weight, serum blood biochemistry, and intestinal microflora of broiler but give significant different (P < 0.05) on intestinal properties. The supplementation of MRF and probiotic enhanced liquid acidifier as growth promoters have no exceed limit.

近期許多研究努力進行抗生素替代物之開發,如酸化劑、益生菌等,因此,本試驗旨在通過添加富含甘露聚醣的部分(Mannan-Riched Fraction;MRF)和益生菌增強的水組合作為天然生長促進劑來改善肉雞的生長性能、屠體性狀和腸道功能等。試驗採用320隻公母各半一日齡愛拔益加白肉雞,隨機分成四處理組,每組進行四重複,每欄20只。四處理組分別為:T0(基礎飼糧組)、T1(基礎飼糧+ MRF(Actigen™)80 g/100 kg)、T2(飲用水+ 2 mL/L組合飼料添加劑(Acid-Pak 4-way®))及T3(基礎飼糧+ MRF 80g/100kg +飲用水2 mL/L組合飼料添加劑(Acid-Pak 4-way®))。飼養過程中,飼糧及飲水皆採任食。在試驗第21、28及35日齡時,每組隨機挑選8隻雞隻進行犧牲採樣,並分析生長性能、屠體性狀、血液生化值、腸道性狀與腸道菌相等。結果顯示,甘露聚醣富集組與益生菌增強液體酸化劑組合添加,在生長性能方面,於各處理組間無差異顯著( II P > 0.05)。在血液生化值部分,處理組會下降21齡雞的麩胺酸草醋酸轉胺酵素(glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase;GOT)數值,及下降21日齡公雞的麩胺酸丙胺酸轉胺酵素(glutamic pyruvic transaminase;GPT)數值,也同時下降公雞的總膽固醇數值。MRF添加會增加21及28日齡公雞的絨毛高度,也較基礎飼糧組增加35日齡公雞的絨毛高度。綜合上述,MRF和複合益生菌增強液體酸化劑的添加,不顯著影響生長性能、臟器重量比、血液生化值及腸道性狀,對肉雞之各性能亦無負面效應。
