Abstract
Menyusui eksklusif memberikan banyak manfaat untuk bayi, ibu, dan keluarga. Ibu primipara akan mengalami berbagai hambatan dalam menyusui karena baru per-tama kali memiliki anak, terutama untuk ibu bekerja. Ibu primipara bekerja perlu mendapatkan dukungan dari keluarga. Nenek menjadi salah satu orang yang ber-pengaruh dalam memberikan dukungan menyusui apabila ibu tinggal dalam keluarga besar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa hubungan dukungan keluarga besar dengan pemberian ASI eksklusif pada ibu primipara bekerja di Wilayah Kerja Pusk-esmas Arjowinangun Kota Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan cross sectional study yang menggunakan 2 kuesioner yaitu kuesioner dukungan keluarga besar dan pem-berian ASI eksklusif. Responden pada penelitian ini berjumlah 61 ibu primipara bekerja dan 61 nenek yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Hasil yang didapatkan sebanyak 32 nenek (52,%) memberikan dukungan kategori cukup dan sebanyak 36 ibu (59%) tidak memberikan ASI eksklusif. Hasil uji statistik Spear-man correlation rank mempunyai p value 0,000 yang berarti terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara dukungan keluarga besar dengan pemberian ASI eksklusif pada ibu primipara bekerja. Nilai koefisien korelasi spearman sebesar 0,888 menunjukkan bah-wa terdapat hubungan yang baik antara dukungan keluarga besar dengan pemberian ASI eksklusif pada ibu primipara bekerja. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bah-wa semakin baik dukungan keluarga besar diberikan, maka pemberian ASI eksklusif akan semakin baik pula pada ibu primipara bekerja. Disarankan untuk keluarga besar terutama nenek untuk lebih memberi dukungan terhadap pemberian ASI eksklusif pada ibu primipara bekerja. Bagi perawat diharapkan untuk kedepannya lebih memper-hatikan aspek edukatif pentingnya pemberian ASI eksklusif pada ibu primipara bekerja dan keluarga.
English Abstract
Exclusive breastfeeding provides many benefits to infants, mothers, and fami-lies. Primiparous mother will have various problems during the nursing period due to the lack of experience they have in having the first child, particurarly for working moth-ers. Working primiparous mothers need to get support from their families. Grandmother is an figure of support for working primiparous mothers living in extended families. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between the extended family sup-ports and exclusive breastfeeding of working primiparous mothers in the Arjowinangun Community Health, Malang. This study was conducted using a cross-sectional study with two questionnaires, which are the extended family support questionnaires and the exclusive breastfeeding questionnaires. The study participants were 61 working pri-miparous mothers and 61 grandmothres who were selected by using simple random sampling technique. The results showed that as many as 32 grandmothers (52%) gave sufficient supports and as many as 36 primiparous mothers (59%) were not giving ex-clusive breastfeed. The results of the Spearman rank correlation statistical test has a p-value of 0,000, which indicates there was a significant correlation between extended family support and exclusive breastfeeding in working primiparous mothers. The coeffi-cient value of Spearman rank is 0.888, which indicates a good correlation between the extended family support and exclusive breastfeeding in working primiparous mothers. The conclusion of the study is that good support of extended family gives better chance mother to give exclusive breastfeeding. For the extended families, especially for the grandmothers, it is recommended to give big supports to working primiparous mothers to give exclusive breastfeeding. For nurses, it is also expected to provide attention to educative assistance for working primiparous mothers and their families.
