Abstract
Pengetahuan merupakan hal yang sangat penting untuk terbentuknya suatu tindakan seseorang. Pengetahuan mengenai penggunaan APD khususnya bagi pekerja kebersihan juga sangat penting karena pemakaian APD dapat mencegah kecelakaan kerja ataupun penyakit akibat kerja. Namun demikian pada kenyataannya masih banyak tenaga kerja yang masih belum mengenakannya saat bekerja. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menganalisis hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan dengan sikap terhadap pemakaian alat pelindung diri (APD) pada pekerja kebersihan di TPA Supiturang Kota Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan desain observasional yang memakai pendekatan cross sectional. Jumlah sampel ditentukan dengan menggunakan Rumus Slovin sehingga didapatkan sampel minimal sebanyak 46 orang. Peneliti dalam penelitian ini menggunakan sampel sejumlah 47 orang. Hasil dari penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan dengan sikap terhadap pemakaian alat pelindung diri (p-value=0.003, ⍺=0.05). Hasil uji statistik Spearman rank menunjukkan hubungan searah yaitu tingkat pengetahuan yang baik maka akan memunculkan sikap yang positif dalam pemakaian alat pelindung diri (APD) (r=0.427). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa mayoritas tingkat pengetahuan tinggi dan mayoritas sikap terhadap pemakaian APD positif. Disarankan bagi Institusi atau dinas terkait, diharapkan dapat memperbaiki sistem penentuan SOP dalam pemakaian APD dengan jelas & tertulis, serta melakukan sosialisasi SOP & pengecekan APD yang digunakan secara rutin pada pekerja kebersihan saat bekerja di tempat kerja. Bagi akademisi atau institusi pendidikan, diharapkan dapat memberikan manfaat dalam pengembangan ilmu kesehatan khususnya tentang konsep pemakaian APD, Mengadakan program kurikulum mengenai edukasi atau penyuluhan tentang pemakaian APD, keselamatan kerja K3 pada pekerja kebersihan, serta mengadakan kunjungan kerja terkait mengenai keselamatan kerja K3.
English Abstract
Knowledge is a very important thing for the formation of a person's actions. Knowledge about the use of PPE especially for cleaning workers is also very important because the use of PPE can prevent workplace accidents or occupational diseases. However, in reality there are still many workers who still don't wear it while working. The purpose of the study was to analyze the relationship between the level of knowledge and attitudes towards the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in cleaning workers at TPA Supiturang, Malang City. This study used an observational design using a cross sectional approach. The number of samples is determined by using Slovin formula so that a minimum sample of 46 people is obtained. Researchers in this study used a sample of 47 people. The results of this study state that there is a relationship between the level of knowledge and attitudes towards the use of personal protective equipment (p-value = 0.003, ⍺ = 0.05). The results of the Spearman rank statistical test show a unidirectional relationship that is a good level of knowledge which will give rise to a positive attitude in the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) (r = 0.427). It can be concluded that the majority of the level of knowledge is high and the majority of attitudes towards the use of PPE are positive. It is recommended that relevant institutions or agencies be expected to improve the system for determining SOP in the use of PPE clearly and in writing, and to disseminate SOP and check PPE that are routinely used by cleaning workers while working in the workplace. For academics or educational institutions, it is expected to be able to provide benefits in the development of health sciences, especially about the concept of using PPE, Conduct curriculum programs on education or counseling on the use of PPE, K3 work safety for cleaning workers, and conduct related work visits on K3 safety. For further researchers, further research needs to be done by examining the compliance behavior in the use of PPE personal protective equipment.
