Sidauruk, Iwan Parlindungan (2019) Analisis Simpanan Air pada Berbagai Metode Metode Pemanenan Air Hujan di Sistem agroforestri Kopi Desa Sumbermanjing Wetan. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.

Abstract

English Abstract

Precipitation in Indonesia is generally quite high in quantity (1500- 5000 mm.year-1), however, the majority of its distribution occurs only for 3-6 months in a year, so that during the rainy season there is a flood and during the dry season drought occurs. To increase land productivity while reducing the risk of flooding and drought, a portion of the volume of rainwater and surface runoff needs to be harvested by utilizing rainwater harvesting technology. This research aims to analyze the effect of various methods of rainwater harvesting on groundwater storage and water content distribution of soil profiles. This research was conducted in coffee agroforestry Sumbermanjing Wetan Village, Sumbermanjing Sub-district, Malang Regency in April to May 2019. The research method used was field observation and laboratory analysis using Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatment consists of Kontrol, Rorak parallel, rorak L and biopore. The parameters of the observations in this study consisted of texture, bulk density, particel density, porosity, saturated hydraulic conductivity, pF curve, C-organic and soil moisture content. The results showed that rainwater harvesting treatments were able to increase water storage in the soil. Rorak L was able to increase water storage by 3,05 %, Rorak Parallel was able to increase water storage by 2,32 %, and biopore was able to increase water storage by 1,54 % compared to without rainwater harvesting treatment. Distribution of profile water content between rainwater harvesting and without rainwater harvesting treatments had a same distibution, where deeper soil layer had higher water content.
