Abstract
PG Pesantren Baru merupakan perusahaan industri yang bergerak dalam produksi gula kristal putih yang berbahan baku tebu. Perusahaan ini memiliki cara dan strategi sendirisendiri agar perusahaan mampu bersaing di dalam pasar. Salah satu strategi tersebut adalah dengan mengoptimalkan sumber daya manusia (SDM) yang ada. Salah satu aspek yang dipertimbangkan dalam SDM adalah beban kerja pada setiap elemen kerja pada perusahaan. Dalam penelitian ini, objek terdiri dari pekerja pada unit produksi gula ritel sebanyak 8 pekerja, yaitu 1 orang foreman, 1 orang operator mesin pengemas, 2 orang feeder bertugas memasukkan gula ke mesin pengemas, 3 orang bagian packing dan 1 orang admin. Pada beberapa periode produksi terakhir setelah jam lembur ditiadakan, jumlah produksi yang dihasilkan tidak mencapai target yang telah ditetapkan. Pada awal melakukan pengamatan terdapat nilai persentase produktif dan non produktif yang cukup jauh. Hal ini disebabkan jumlah aktivitas dan metode kerja yang dikerjakan oleh para pekerja tersebut berbeda. Selain itu pada unit produksi gula ritel juga belum pernah dilakukan perhitungan waktu standar dan beban kerja. Oleh karena itu, pada penelitian ini akan dilakukan pengukuran waktu standar dan beban kerja pada para pekerja untuk menentukan jumlah tenaga kerja yang sesuai. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Workload Analysis. Workload Analysis merupakan metode yang digunakan untuk menentukan jumlah pekerja. Perhitungan beban kerja dengan metode Workload analysis diawali dengan melakukan pengukuran waktu baku dengan menggunakan metode stopwatch time study. Selanjutnya dilakukan penentuan nilai performance rating dari setiap pekerja dan menentukan allowance kepada setiap elemen kerja dengan menggunakan tabel International Labour Organization (ILO). Berdasarkan penelitian, hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan pada perhitungan beban kerja ada beberapa pekerja yang memiliki nilai beban kerja melebihi batas maksimum 100%, yaitu pekerja bagian foreman sebesar 113,3%, operator 124,36% dan packing 100,8%. Sedangkan pekerja bagian feeder memiliki nilai beban kerja yang normal dibawah 100%. Alternatif usulan perbaikan yang diberikan adalah dengan memberikan jam lembur dan upah lembur kepada pekerja. Karena dengan memberikan jam lembur lebih efisien dari segi biaya daripada menambahkan pekerja baru .
English Abstract
PG Pesantren Baru is an industrial company engaged in the production of white crystal sugar made from sugar cane. This company has its own ways and strategies so that the company can compete in the market. One such strategy is to optimize existing human resources (HR). One aspect that is considered in HR is the workload on each element of work in the company. The object on this research consist of 8 workers in retail sugar production unit, include 1 person foreman, 1 packing machine operator, 2 feeders assigned to put sugar into the packing machine, 3 packing parts and 1 administration worker. In the last few production periods after overtime is eliminated, the amount of production produced does not reach the set target. At the beginning of the observation there is a percentage of productive and non-productive values that are quite far away. This is because the number of activities and work methods employed by these workers is different. In addition, the retail sugar production unit standard time and workload are never calculated before. Therefore, this research will calculate standard measurements and workloads that will be carried out on workers to determine the appropriate number of workers. The method used in this study is Workload Analysis. Workload Analysis is a method used to determine the number of workers. Workload calculation using Workload analysis method begins with standard time measurement using the stopwatch time study method. It followed by the determination of the value of the performance rating of each worker and determining the allowance for each element of work using the International Labor Organization (ILO) table. Based on the research, results of this study indicate that in the calculation of workload there are some workers who have a workload value exceeding the maximum limit of 100%, those are foreman workers 113,3%, operators 124,36% and packing workers 100.8%. While the feeder section workers have a normal workload value below 100%. The proposed improvement is to add each of the 1 workers to the foreman as an assistant foreman, 1 person in the operator section and 1 person in the packing section. In addition, the company should provide overtime and overtime incentive. Because overtime incentive more eficient than addition worker.
