Analisis Perbandingan Blended Learning berbasis Edmodo dan Google Classroom ditinjau dari Motivasi dan Hasil Belajar Siswa

Batita, Maurish Sofie Rahmi (2019) Analisis Perbandingan Blended Learning berbasis Edmodo dan Google Classroom ditinjau dari Motivasi dan Hasil Belajar Siswa. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.

Abstract

English Abstract

The use of e-learning in education should make learning activities more effective and efficient. However, the use of Edmodo at State Vocational High School 5 Malang has not been fruitful implemented, caused by Edmodo’s complex interface. Furthermore, the block schedule implementation of Teaching Factory (TEFA) resulted in the compression of the meeting number of normative and adaptive subjects. This study proposes a blended learning model to replace face-to-face (F2F) meeting followed by online-asynchronous meeting using E-learning platform, which are Edmodo and Google Classroom. Comparative analysis has been done using student’s motivation and learning outcomes. The type of this research was quasi experimental with non-equivalent control group design on 107 samples student, that divided into 2 experimental classes and 1 control class. Collected data was analyzed by quantitative using paired and independent samples t-test. The statistical analysis revealed that, there were signigicant differences in cognitive learning outcomes between Edmodo and Google Classroom with value of sig p=0,008<a=0,05, followed by posttest mean of Edmodo as much as 83,68 was higher than Google Classroom with 75,70. Also, there were significant differences in motivation value of sig p=0,007<a=0,05, followed by postmotivation mean of Google Classroom as much as 84,82 was higher than Edmodo was 80,29. Nevertheless, both of them could improve motivation and learning outcomes towards blended learning implementation.
