Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan pengaruh dari suplementasi tepung jintan hitam terhadap persentase karkas dan lemak abdominal broiler. Materi dalam penelitian yaitu menggunakan 192 ekor Days Old Chickens (DOC) broiler strain Lohmann dan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan yaitu: pakan kontrol, P1: perlakuan pakan + tepung jintan hitam 2%/kg, P2: perlakuan pakan + tepung jintan hitam 4%/kg, P3: perlakuan pakan + tepung jintan hitam 6%/kg. Hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan analysis of variance (ANOVA) dan apabila hasilnya berbeda nyata (P<0,05) maka dilanjutkan menggunakan Uji Lanjut Berjarak Ganda (DMRT). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan tepung jintan hitam tidak memberikan perbedaan nyata (P>0,05) terhadap persentase karkas dan memberikan perbedaan sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap berat dan persentase lemak abdominal. Perlakuan terbaik adalah dari penambahan tepung intan hitam 6%/kg pakan terhadap berat dan persentase lemak abdominal.

English Abstract

The purpose of this research to determine the effect of black cumin powder supplementation on carcass percentage and broiler abdominal fat. The material in this research were used 192 Unsexed one-day broiler strain Lohmann and the experiment was conducted as a completely randomized design of 4 dietary treatment groups: feed control, P1: feed treatment + black cumin powder 2%/kg feed, P2: feed treatment + black cumin powder 4%/kg feed, P3: feed treatment + black cumin powder 6%/kg feed. The result was analysed by analysis of variance (ANOVA) to know the effect of treatment and if there were significant continous to Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The result showed that addition black cumin powder had no significant effect (P>0.05) on carcass percentage and highly significant effect (P<0.01) on abdominal fat weight and abdominal fat percentage. The best treatment was addition black cumin flour 6%/kg feed based on abdominal fat weight and abdominal fat percentage.
