Abstract
Obesitas merupakan kondisi kelebihan akumulasi lemak tubuh dan tercatat 16.671 orang atau 41,68% dari 39.993 orang di Kota Malang mengalami obesitas. Melihat tingginya prevalensi obesitas diperlukan intervensi dengan pendekatan bersifat edukasi gizi. Media leaflet merupakan media yang berisi informasi kesehatan dalam bentuk lembaran lipat. Sedangkan aplikasi my weight loss diet merupakan program penurunan berat badan yang ada pada smartphone android.Tujuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui perbedaan tingkat pengetahuan terhadap diet penurunan berat badan pada mahasiswi obesitas yang diberi edukasi dengan media cetak dan aplikasi android. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu true eksperimental dengan pendekatan pretest and post-test control grup design. Jumlah sampel 44 orang yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan tingkat pengetahuan terkait diet penurunan berat badan pada mahasiswi obesitas sebelum dan sesudah pemberian edukasi gizi melalui media leaflet (p-value = 0.004) dan melalui aplikasi my weight loss diet (p-value = 0.000). Akan tetapi tidak terdapat perbedaan tingkat pengetahuan antara kelompok media leaflet dan kelompok aplikasi my weight loss diet (p-value = 0.267). Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan tingkat pengetahuan sebelum dan sesudah pemberian edukasi gizi baik melalui media leaflet maupun aplikasi my weight loss diet, serta media cetak dan aplikasi android sama-sama efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan terkait diet penurunan berat badan.
English Abstract
Obesity is a condition of excess accumulation of body fat, and it is recorded that 16.671 people or 41.68% from 39.993 people in Malang are obese. Seeing the high prevalence of obesity, intervention is needed with the approach of nutritional education. Leaflet is a media containing health information in the form of folding sheets. While my weight loss diet application is a weight loss program that exists in android smartphone. The aim of this research is to figure out the knowledge difference level on weight loss diet among female students who were educated with print media and android application. The type of this research is true experimental with pretest and post-test control group design. There are 44 samples of people selected through purposive sampling technique. The result shows that there is a difference in the level of knowledge related to weight loss diet among female students, before and after nutritional education through leaflet media (p-value = 0.004) and through my weight loss diet application (p-value = 0.000). However, there is no difference in the knowledge level between the leaflet media group and my weight loss diet application (pvalue = 0.267). So, it can be concluded that there are differences in the knowledge level, before and after the provision of nutritional education both with the leaflet media and my weight loss diet application, and as well as the leaflet media and my weight loss diet application are equally effective in knowledge improvement towards the weight loss diet.
