Abstract
Karakteristik individu, remunerasi, karakteristik pekerjaan dan motivasi kerja berperan penting dalam meningkatkan kinerja pegawai. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh karakteristik individu, remunerasi dan karakteristik pekerjaan terhadap kinerja pegawai dengan dimediasi oleh motivasi kerja. Penelitian ini merupakan pengembangan model dengan menempatkan motivasi kerja sebagai variabel mediasi, yang dapat meningkatkan kinerja pegawai. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode survei. Penelitian dilakukan di Arsip Nasional Republik Indonesia (ANRI). Populasi dalam penelitian adalah pegawai ANRI dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 228 pegawai. Analisis data yang digunakan menggunakan Structural Equation Modelling dengan menggunakan software AMOS. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa karakteristik individu tidak berpengaruh terhadap motivasi kerja, namun remunerasi dan karakteristik pekerjaan berpengaruh terhadap motivasi kerja. Karakteristik individu dan karakteristik pekerjaan tidak berpengaruh terhadap kinerja pegawai, tapi remunerasi dan motivasi kerja berpengaruh terhadap kinerja pegawai. Ditemukan juga bahwa motivasi kerja memediasi pengaruh karakteristik individu, remunerasi dan karakteristik pekerjaan terhadap kinerja pegawai. Hal ini berarti bahwa motivasi kerja sangat berperan penting untuk meningkatkan kinerja pegawai ANRI. Hasil penelitian ini tidak dapat digeneralisasi, karena penelitian hanya dilakukan di ANRI
English Abstract
Individual characteristic, remuneration, job characteristic and work motivation have an important role in improving employee performance. This study aims to analyze the influence of individual characteristic, remuneration and job characteristic toward employee performance mediated by work motivation. This study is a model construction with work motivation as the mediating variable, which can improve employee performance. This study used a quantitative approach with survery method and it was conducted in the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia. (ANRI). The population was the employees of ANRI and as many as 228 samples were taken as samples. The data analysis used Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) with AMOS software. The results reveal that individual characteristics do no affect work motivation, yet remuneration and job characteristics influence work motivation. Individual characteristics and job characteristics have no significance on employee performance, but remuneration and work motivation have positive significance on employee performance. The results also show that work motivation mediates the effect of individual characteristics, remuneration and job characteristics on employee performance. It indicates that work motivation has an important role to improve the performance of ANRI employees. This result, however, cannot be generalized because the study conducted only at ANRI.
