Abstract
Penggunaan pupuk kimia (pupuk anorganik) dan pestisida secara berlebihan menyebabkan tanah kritis dikarenakan kerusakan struktur lahan, baik dari sifat fisik dan sifat kimia. Diperlukan pengganti pupuk anorganik yaitu pupuk organik, untuk memperbaiki sifat fisik dan kimia tanah yang rusak. Beberapa jenis pupuk organik yang dapat digunakan yaitu vermikompos dengan menggunakan bahan baku media blotong tebu dan blotong tebu tanpa pengolahan vermikompos. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan vermikompos dan blotong tebu terhadao sifat kimia tanah kritis dan mengetahui pengaruh penambahan vermikompos dan blotong terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman indikator. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimental Rancang Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 kombinasi media perlakuan. Parameter yang diamati pada penelitian ini yakni suhu media tanam, evapotranspirasi tanaman, sifat kimia tanah (pH dan unsur hara C, N, P, K), dan pertumbuhan tomat (tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, berat basah dan berat kering tanaman). Suhu media tanam memiliki rentang 26-330C dengan secara keseluruhan evapotranspirasi tanaman terbesar pada perlakuan menggunakan vermikompos dengan tanah kritis. Unsur C-Organik, N-total dan Kalium mengalami penurunan, sedangkan unsur Phosfor, Kalsium, dan Natrium mengalami kenaikan dibandingkan dengan nilai kandungan unsur kimia pada kondisi awal. Selisih kumulatif tinggi tanaman dan jumlah daun tertinggi di hari ke-30 penelitian terdapat pada perlakuan menggunakan vermikompos dengan tanah kritis yakni dengan rata-rata 23,30 cm dan 73,33 helai, sedangkan untuk hasil terendah terdapat pada perlakuan menggunakan blotong dengan tanah kritis yakni ix dengan rata-rata 2,97 cm dan 10,67 helai. Selisih berat basah dan berat kering tanaman tertinggi pada perlakuan menggunakan vermikompos dengan tanah kritis yakni sebesar 14,942 gram, sementara itu selisih berat basah dan berat kering terendah terdapat pada perlakuan menggunakan blotong dengan tanah kritis yakni sebesar 0,668 gram.
English Abstract
The use of chemical fertilizers (inorganic fertilizers) and excessive pesticides causes critical soils due to damage to land structure, both from physical properties and chemical properties. A replacement for inorganic fertilizer is needed, namely organic fertilizer, to improve the physical and chemical properties of damaged soil. Several types of organic fertilizers that can be used are vermicompost using raw materials of blotong and blotong media without vermicompost processing. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of adding vermicompost and sugar cane cut to critical soil chemical properties and to know the effect of adding vermicompost and blotong to indicator plant growth. The research method used was the Randomized Complete Design (RAL) method with 3 combinations of treatment media. The parameters observed in this study were the temperature of the planting media, plant evapotranspiration, soil chemical properties (pH and nutrients C, N, P, K), and tomato growth (plant height, number of leaves, wet weight and dry weight of plants). The temperature of the planting medium has a range of 26-330C with the overall largest evapotranspiration in the treatment using vermicompost with critical soil. C-Organic elements, N-total and Potassium decreased, while the elements Phosphorus, Calcium and Sodium increased compared to the value of the chemical element in the initial conditions. The highest cumulative difference in plant height and number of leaves on the 30th of study was found in the treatment using vermicompost and critical soil, with an average of 23.30 cm and 73.33 strands, while for the lowest yield there was a treatment using critical soil slices with an average of 2.97 cm and 10.67 strands. The wet weight difference and the highest dry weight of the plant were treated xi using vermicompost with critical soil which was equal to 14.942 grams, while the wet weight difference and the lowest dry weight were found in the treatment using blotong with critical soil which was 0.668 grams.
