Abstract
Keramik dibuat menggunakan campuran bahan clay, kaolin, silikat dan lain-lain. Pada kali ini bahan tersebut di kombinasikan dengan zircon (ZrSiO4) Proses pembentukan pada keramik modern menggunakan metode penekanan. Fungsi penelitian ini didalam bidang medis terutama kedokteran gigi digunakan sebagai pembuatan gigi tiruan. Karena gigi sering bergesekan dengan makanan untuk itu perlu dilakukan pengujian keausan. Salah satu proses pembuatan keramik yaitu dibakar, saat pembakaran tersebut bahan keramik mengalami penyusutan dimensi akibat kenaikan suhu Untuk mengetahui seberapa besar penyusutan yang terjadi, maka penelitian ini perlu dilakukan pengujian susut bakar. Dalam penelitian ini waktu penekanan 10 menit setiap spesimen. Variasi yang digunakan tingkat penekanan pada spesimen 110, 160, 220, 275 N/cm2 . Bahan yang digunakan kaolin 55%, silika 10%, feldspar 15% dan zirkon silikat (ZrSiO4) 20% dan di bakar dengan suhu pembakaran 1100-1300oC, setelah itu diuji keausan dan susut bakar. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin tinggi tingkat penekanan maka nilai susut bakar semakin turun. Nilai susut bakar paling tinggi pada tekanan 275 kg/cm2 sebesar 4,5 % sedangkan paling rendah pada tekanan 110 kg/cm2 sebesar 2,6 %. Semakin tinggi tingkat penekanan maka laju keausan semakin turun. Nilai laju keausan paling tinggi pada tekanan 275 kg/cm2 sebesar 0,00147 mm³/Nm, sedangkan paling rendah pada tekanan 110 kg/cm2 sebesar 0,0047 mm³/Nm.
English Abstract
Ceramic tile is made using a mixture of ingredients, kaolin clay, silicate and others. At this time the material combine with zircon (ZrSiO4). The process of formation in modern ceramic method using emphasis. The function of this research in the medical field especially dentistry used as making dentures. Because the teeth rub together often with food for it to be done testing the wear and tear. One of the ceramic-making process that is burnt, the combustion time of ceramic material undergoes shrinkage due to temperature increase dimensions to find out how big the shrinkage that occurs, then the research needs to be done testing shrink burn. In this study the emphasis time 10 minutes per specimen. Variation-level emphasis on specimens 110, 160, 220, 275 N/cm2. Materials used kaolin 55% silica 10%, 15% feldspar and zircon silicate (ZrSiO4) 20% and in the fuel combustion with a temperature of 1100-1300 °C, after it tested wear and shrinkage. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the higher the level the emphasis the value shrink fuel getting down. Most burn high shrinkage value at 275 kg/cm2 pressure of 4.5% while the lowest at 110 kg/cm2 pressure of 2.6%. The higher the level the emphasis then the rate of wear and tear getting down. The value of the rate of wear and tear is highest at 275 kg/cm2 pressure of 0.00147 mm ³/Nm, whereas most low pressure 110 kg/cm2 of 0.0047 mm ³/Nm.
