Abstract

Jalan tol Gempol – Pasuruan merupakan jalan yang menghubungkan daerah Gempol, Sidoarjo dengan Kota Pasuruan. Karena akan digunakannya lahan tersebut sebagai keperluan jalan tol, maka diharapkan tanah dasarnya dapat menahan beban rencana, baik dari beban struktur maupun beban kendaraan yang akan melewati jalan tersebut. Seperti yang telah diketahui bahwa tanah di daerah tersebut bersifat kohesif, sehingga apabila terjadi anomali iklim yang dapat menyebabkan adanya variasi kadar air yang diterima oleh tanah, yang menyebabkan kondisi tanah menjadi tidak stabil. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan zat aditif, yaitu fly ash, terhadap karakteristik tanah berdasarkan sifat fisik dan mekaniknya sehingga dapat meningkatkan daya dukung tanah. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan analisis sifat fisik dan mekanik tanah yang telah dicampurakan dengan kadar fly ash yang bervariasi, yaitu sebesar 5%; 10%; 15%; 20%; dan 25% yang akan dibandingkan dengan tanah asli yang telah dilakukan oleh peneliti sebelumnya. Adapun pengujian yang akan dibandingkan yaitu uji Pemadatan standar, uji California Bearing Ratio (CBR), uji density, dan uji Atterberg Limit (LL/PL/SL). Pada pengujian Atterberg Limit, batas plastis, batas cair, dan batas susut tanah yang telah dicampur dengan fly ash mengalami penurunan. Pada pengujian berat isi tanah dan porositas tanah, tanah yang telah dicampur dengan fly ash berat isinya cenderung naik, sementara porositas tanah mengalami penurunan. Pada pengujian pemadatan, berat isi kering tanah yang telah dicampur dengan fly ash cenderung mengalami kenaikan sementara kadar air optimum tanah cenderung mengalami penurunan. Pada pengujian California Bearing Ratio (CBR) tanpa rendaman tanah asli memiliki nilai CBR sebesar 11,60%, dengan presentase campuran fly ash 15% menghasilkan nilai CBR tertinggi yaitu sebesar 25,63% sementara pada pengujian California Bearing Ratio (CBR) rendaman, tanah asli memiliki nilai CBR 5,24%, dengan presentase campuran fly ash sebesar 15% menghasilkan nilai CBR tertinggi yaitu sebesar 13,75%.

English Abstract

Gempol – Pasuruan toll road is a road that connects the region with the town of Sidoarjo, Gempol Pasuruan. Because it will use the land as a highway purposes, then the expected ground essentially can withstand the load plan, either from the load of the structure as well as the load the vehicle will pass through the roads. As it has been known that the soil in the area is cohesive, so that in the event of climate anomalies that can cause variations in moisture content is received by the land, which led to unstable ground conditions. This research aims to know the influence of the addition of additives, namely, fly ash, soil characteristics against based on physical properties and had engineer so as to enhance support of the land. This research was conducted on the analysis of physical and mechanical properties of the soil that has been dicampurakan with the rate of fly ash varyby 5%; 10%; 15%; 20%; and 25% that will be compared to the original land that has been done by previous researchers. As for the test will be compared to the standard Compaction test, California Bearing Ratio (CBR) test, density test, and Atterberg Limit test (LL/PL/SL). The value of Atterberg Limit test, liquid limit, plastic limit, and shrinkage limit on soil that have mixed by fly ash is reduced. On testing the weight content of soil and soil porosity, soil that has been mixed with fly ash, contents weight tends is increased, however soil porosity is decreased. On standart compaction test, the weight of the contents of dry land that has been mixed with fly ash are likely to increase while the optimum moisture content soil is decreased. On testing California Bearing Ratio (CBR) unsoaked original land has a value of CBR of 11.60%, with a percentage of mixture of fly ash 15% generate value highest of CBR is 25.63% while the testing of California Bearing Ratio (CBR)soaked the original has the value soil is CBR 5.24%, with a percentage of mixture of fly ash yields a value of 15% of the highest of CBR is 13.75%.
