Abstract

Penelitian ini didasarkan pada fenomena rendahnya kinerja karyawan, di PDAM Jayaura disebabkan karena nilai budaya organisasi yang lemah, komitmen organisasional yang rendah serta kepuasan kerja yang rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan menganalisis: pengaruh budaya organisasi dan komitmen organisasional terhadap kinerja karyawan baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung melalui kepuasan kerja. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 127 karyawan, dan pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode sensus. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis Partial Least Square (PLS) dan Sobel Test untuk menguji apakah kepuasan kerja adalah benar-benar variabel mediasi. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1). Budaya Organisasi tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Kinerja Karyawan. (2). Komitmen Organisasional berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Kinerja Karyawan. Artinya semakin tinggi Komitmen Organisasional, mampu meningkatkan Kinerja Karyawan. (3). Kepuasan kerja mampu memediasi pengaruh budaya organisasi terhadap kinerja karyawan. Artinya semakin kuat budaya organisasi mampu meningkatkan kepuasan kerja karyawan sehingga dapat melaksakan pekerjaannya dengan baik dan mencapai kinerja yang baik pula. (4). Kepuasan kerja mampu memediasi pengaruh komitmen organisasional terhadap kinerja karyawan. Dimana semakin tinggi komitmen organisasional, dapat meningkatkan kepuasan kerja karyawan sehingga mampu mencapai kinerja yang baik.

English Abstract

This study is based on the phenomena of the low employee performance in PDAM Jayapura as a result of weak organizational culture, low organizational commitment and work satisfaction. This study is conducted to examine and analyze: the influence of the organizational culture and organizational commitment towards the employee performance through work satisfaction both directly and indirectly. There were 127 employees as the population of this study who were chosen by census method. This study uses Partial Least Square (PLS) and Sobel Test to investigate whether work satisfaction was a trully mediating variable were employed to test the correlation among variables. The study findings showed that: (1) The Organizational Culture does not have a significant influence towards employee performance. (2) Organizational commitment has a significant influence towards the employee performance. It means that a higher organizational commitment will improve employee performance. (3) Work satisfaction is able to mediate the influence of the organizational culture towards employee performance. It indicates that a strong organizational culture is capable of enhancing employee performance so that they can perform better in their job and have a good work performance. (4) Work satisfaction can mediate the influence of organizational commitment towards employee performance. It means that a high organizational commitment can increase the employees` work satisfaction so that they can achieve better work performance.
