Abstract
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimanakah ketangguhan pedagang di Pasar Singosari dalam menghadapi kemajuan Pasar Modern. Mengapa pedagang pasar ini tetap survive, padahal pendidikan formal mereka sangat minim, manajemen dan permodalan terbatas, serta persaingan yang semakin meningkat. Apa yang menyebabkan mereka bisa tetap tangguh. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif, dan metode yang digunakan adalah Metode Grounded Theory , yaitu: open coding, axial coding, dan selective coding. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dengan informan yang dianggap paham terhadap permasalahan yang diteliti, yang terdiri dari: pedagang pasar, pengelola pasar, dan tokoh masyarakat setempat. Informan dipilih berdasarkan pada kecukupan data dan informasi yang diperlukan . Penelitian ini telah menemukan empat proposisi, yaitu: P 1 = Peningkatan marketing, enterpreneurship, dan pengalaman berkemampuan meningkatkan ketangguhan pedagang di Pasar Singosari; P 2 = Peningkatan religious berkemampuan meningkatkan ketangguhan pedagang di Pasar Singosari; P 3 = Peningkatan ancaman, tanggungan keluarga, dan kelemahan manajemen berpengaruh terhadap ketangguhan pedagang di Pasar Singosari; dan P 4 = Peningkatan modal sosial dan keunggulan pasar berkemampuan meningkatkan ketangguhan pedagang di Pasar Singosari.
English Abstract
The objective of the study is to find out how strong the traders in Singosari market in facing the progress of modern markets and why these market traders remain survive inspite of their limited formal education, limited management capacity and capital as well as the increasing competition. What makes them remain strong?. The study is a qualitative study and is based on grounded theory, namely, open coding, axial coding, dan selective coding . The Data were obtained through indepth interviews with informants assumed to understand the problems under study, covering market traders, market managers and local society leaders. The informants were selected based on the adequacy of the data and information required. The study has found four propositions: 1) P 1 : the improvement of marketing, enterpreneurship and experience, enabling to increase the strength of the traders in Singosari market; 2) P 2 : the religious improvement, enabling to increase the strength of the traders in Singosari market; 3) P 3 : the increase of threat, family dependents and weakness in management which influence the strength of the traders in Singosari market and 4) P 4 : the increase of social capital and market advantage, enabling to increase the strength of the traders in Singosari market.
