Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan menjelaskan pengaruh Karakteristik Pekerjaan dan Kepuasan Kerja terhadap Komitmen Organisasional dan Intention to Quit . Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian explanatory research . Sampel diambil dengan menggunakan teknik proportionate stratified random sampling dan besarnya ditetapkan 84 dari 106 karyawan PT. Manado Media Grafika. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Karakteristik pekerjaan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja; (2) Karakteristik pekerjaan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap komitmen organisasional; (3) Karakteristik pekerjaan berpengaruh tidak signifikan terhadap intention to quit ; (4) Kepuasan kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap komitmen organisasional; (5) Kepuasan kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap intention to quit ; dan (6) Komitmen organisasional berpengaruh signifikan terhadap intention to quit .

English Abstract

purpose of this study is to analyze and explain effect of Job Characteristics and Job Satisfaction toward Organizational Commitment and Intention to Quit. This research belongs to explanatory research. samples are taken by using proportionate stratified random sampling technique and size to be determined 84 of 106 employees of PT Manado Media Grafika. data collecting technique is questionnaire. data is analyzed by using path analysis. result of this study shows: (1) Job characteristics have significant effect toward job satisfaction; (2) Job characteristics have significant effect toward organizational commitment; (3) Job characteristics do not have significant effect toward intention to quit; (4) Job satisfaction has significant effect toward organizational commitment; (5) Job satisfaction has significant effect toward intention to quit; and (6) Organizational commitment has significant effect toward intention to quit .
