Abstract
Analisis Biplot merupakan salah satu analisis multivariat yang menyajikan secara visual pemetaan antara segugus obyek pengamatan dan peubah dalam suatu grafik dua dimensi (Jollife dan Rawling, 1986). Dasar analisis Biplot adalah Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) yang memerlukan matriks data tanpa pencilan (outlier). Apabila hasil penelitian mengandung data ekstrim, analisis Biplot SVD belum menjamin gambaran tentang data. Untuk mengatasi keberadaan data ekstrim, diperlukan metode penduga yang tidak sensitif terhadap pencilan. Hawkins, Liu dan Young (2001) memberikan sebuah pendekatan Robust SVD (SVD kekar) pada analisis Biplot untuk menduga akar ciri dan vektor ciri sehingga hasil pendugaan tahan terhadap data ekstrim. Pada penelitian ini akan dipetakan segugus obyek berupa Kota/Kabupaten di Jawa Timur dengan peubah berupa indikator-indikator pendidikan. Dari hasil analisis Biplot Robust SVD diperoleh beberapa informasi, yaitu terbentuknya beberapa kelompok Kota/Kabupaten berdasarkan kemiripan karakteristik, keragaman indikator pendidikan serta hubungan antar indikator pendidikan.
English Abstract
Biplot analysis is one of the multivariate analysis that presents a visual mapping between objects and variables in two-dimensional graph (Jollife and Rawling, 1986). Basic of Biplot analysis is Singular Value Decomposition (SVD), which requires a data matrix without outlier. If the data has outlier, Biplot analysis with general SVD not guarantee an overview of the data. To cope with the existence of outlier, methods are needed for estimator that is insensitive to outliers. Hawkins, Liu and Young (2001) provide a Robust SVD on Biplot analysis to estimate the eigen value and eigen vector so that the estimation results are resistant to outliers. In this study, a cluster object will be mapped in the form of City /Regency in East Java with variables are education indicators. The results of Biplot Robust SVD analysis are obtained some information such as it is created groups of City/Regency based on similar characteristics, variance of education indicators and the relationship of education indicators.
