Abstract
Informasi biasanya disebarkan melalui sebuah selebaran maupun pengumuman yang terpasang di papan informasi sekolah. Banyak kekurangan yang sering terjadi, yaitu kertas selebaran yang sering hilang maupun tersobek sebelum informasi tersebut sampai kepada siswa ataupun orang tua wali sebagai sasaran utama dari informasi yang terdapat di dalam pengumuman tersebut. Dan juga biasanya orang tua wali sering kali hanya memantau anak atau siswa dari rumah, yang kemungkinan besar orang tua wali tidak mengetahui tentang kegiatan siswa, absensi dan juga memantau nilai-nilai tiap mata pelajaran pada siswa tersebut. Kelemahan tersebut bisa diselesaikan dengan memanfaatkan media website, dimana info-info akademik disimpan di dalam hosting website. Website untuk kepentingan penyampaian info akademik bisa diakses dimana saja melalui laptop maupun komputer PC, asalkan terkoneksi dengan internet yang bersumber dari wifi ataupun modem. Website tersebut terkendala ketika diakses melalui perangkat telepon genggam dan smartphone dengan spesifikasi yang minim, dimana penggunaan sumber daya harus diminimalisir. Dengan membangun sistem informasi akademik yang berbasis web dan menggunakan penerapan requirement gathering sebagai proses pengumpulan data yang menentukan suatu solusi untuk memenuhi harapan dari kebutuhan sponsor, stakeholder, dan pengguna sistem. Requirement gathering diperoleh dengan wawancara, sesi RAP, dan atau lokakarya.
English Abstract
Information is usually transmitted through a leaflet or announcement that is installed on the school bulletin board. Many deficiencies are common, that is a leaflet of paper that is often lost or damaged before the information is up to the parents or students as the main target of the information contained in the announcement. And also the parents usually often only monitor children or students from home, the most likely parents do not know about the activities of the students, the attendance and also monitor school grade for each lesson on the students. These weaknesses can be resolved by utilizing media websites, where academic information stored in the hosting website. The website for the purposes only of academic information can be accessed anywhere via a laptop or PC, as long as it is connected to the internet sourced from wifi or modem. The website constrained when accessed through mobile devices and smartphones with minimal specifications, where the use of resources should be minimized. By building academic information systems web-based and using implementation of requirements gathering as a data collection process that determines a solution to meet the expectations of the needs of sponsors, stakeholders, and users of the system. Requirement gathering obtained by interviews, RAP, and or workshops.
