Abstract
Kota Malang merupakan kota pendidikan, dalam pergerakan siswa menuju fasilitas pendidikan kecenderungan siswa usia sekolah menengah atas (usia 16–18 tahun) sering terlihat menggunakan kendaraan bermotor dan moda lainnya. Kondisi siswa yang masih labil tersebut kelompok sosial berpotensi besar dapat mempengaruhi pilihan moda perjalanan.Tujuan yang hendak dicapai dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui keterkaitan kelompok sosial siswa SMA Negeri 8 Kota Malang dalam pemilihan moda transportasi untuk perjalanan dengan maksud pendidikan. Analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis statistik crostab chi-squareuntuk dan metode Sosial Network Analysis sehingga hasil dari penelitian ini adalah graph jaringan sosial siswa berdasarkan dari hasil analisis Sosial Network Analysis dan nilai keterhubungan antara faktor-faktor pemilihan moda terhadap penggunaan moda untuk perjalanan dengan maksud pendidikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan siswa memiliki pola penggunaan moda yang berbeda untuk pergi dan pulang sekolah. saat pergi sekolah siswa melakukan penggunaan moda secara sendiri-sendiri dengan berbagai jenis moda transportasi sedangkan saat pulang sekolah terjadi perubahan penggunaan moda yang signifikan. Saat pergi sekolah, penggunaan moda secara sendiri sebesar 96,15% dan berkelompok sebesar 3,85%. Sedangkan saat pulang sekolah, penggunaan moda sendiri sebesar 66,35% dan berkelompok sebesar 33,65%.sehingga didapatkan suatu pola kecenderungan penggunaan moda transportasi yang mengartikan pola interaksi antar masing-masing siswa cenderung dapat mempengaruhi penggunaan moda transportasi.
