Abstract

PT.EASTERNTEX adalah perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang industri pembuatan kain yang bahan bakunya benang. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh PT.Easterntex adalah tingginya downtime pada mesin yang digunakan. Tingkat downtime tertinggi terdapat pada mesin carding cotton. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Departemen Spinning B2 pada mesin carding cotton 5,6,dan 12. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat (Availability), perfomance rate, serta rate of quality serta mengetahui nilai Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis six big losses, nilai RPN, dan menganalisis sistem perawatan pada mesin carding cotton serta memberikan rekomendasi perbaikan berdasarkan konsep Total Productive Maintenance. Konsep Total Productive Maintenance digunakan untuk meningkatkan keefektifan penggunaan peralatan dengan pilar TPM. Overall Equipment Effectiveness adalah suatu pendekatan kuantitatif yang digunakan untuk menilai tingkat keefektifan peralatan atau mesin. Perhitungan six big losses digunakan untuk mengetahui losses yang paling mempengaruhi mesin. Failure Mode And Effect Analysis (FMEA) adalah metode yang digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi potensi kegagalan pada mesin yang digunakan. Perhitungan Risk Priority Number dilakukan untuk menentukan komponen yang diprioritaskan pada mesin carding cotton. Berdasarkan perhitungan yang dilakukan, maka didapatkan nilai rata-rata availability rate carding cotton 5 sebesar 91%, carding cotton 6 sebesar 98,01%, carding cotton 12 sebesar 95,95%. Nilai rata-rata performance rate carding cotton 5, 6, dan 12 sebesar 70,45%. Nilai rata-rata rate of quality mesin carding cotton 5,6 dan 12 sebesar 99,66%. Nilai rata-rata Overall Equipment Effectiveness(OEE) carding cotton 5 sebesar 63,75%, carding cotton 6 sebesar 68,81% dan carding cotton 12 sebesar 67,32%. Nilai losses terbesar pada mesin carding cotton yaitu reduced speed losses. Nilai time losses pada reduced speed losses carding cotton 5 sebesar 151965.22 menit, carding cotton 6 sebesar 165171.31 menit, dan carding cotton 12 sebesar 161184.96 menit. Pada perhitungan RPN terdapat 2 kegagalan yang bernilai di atas 100 yaitu PLC rusak dan gearbox aus. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut maka pihak manajemen perawatan perlu menambahkan resistant temperature detector dan proximity sensor sehingga dapat mendeteksi akan terjadinya kerusakan pada komponen tersebut.

English Abstract

PT. Easterntex is a textile company that produce yarn. PT.Easterntex has problem with downtime machine. The highest downtime on carding cotton machine. This research was conducted in the Department of Spinning B2 on carding cotton 5, carding cotton 6, and carding cotton 12. The aims of this study to determine the level of availability rate, perfomance rate, quality rate and analyze overall equipment effectiveness(OEE) value. This research purpose to analyze six big losses, RPN values, analyze maintenance system on carding cotton machine and provide recommendations for improvements based on the concept of Total Productive Maintenance. Total Productive Maintenance design to maximize equipment effectiveness by TPM pillars. Overall Equipment Effectiveness is quantitative approach to assessing the equipment or machine effectiveness. Six big losses used to analyze losses that most affect the equipment or machine. Failure Mode And Effect Analysis (FMEA) purpose to identify potential failure on the machine. Risk Priority Number was performed to determine priority component on carding cotton machine. Based on this research, availability value of carding cotton 5 is 91%, carding cotton 6 is 98.01%, carding cotton 12 is 95,95%. Performance rate value of carding cotton 5, 6, and 12 is 70,45%. Rate of quality carding cotton 5, 6, and 12 is 99.66%. Overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) value of carding cotton 5 is 63.75%, carding cotton 6 is 68.81% and carding cotton 12 is 67,32%. The largest losses value of carding cotton machine is reduced speed losses. Value on reduced speed losses of carding cotton 5 is 151965.22 minutes, carding cotton 6 is 165171.31 minutes, and carding cotton 12 is 161184.96 minutes. Based on RPN analyze there are 2 failure ≥ 100 is PLC damaged and worn gearbox. So, maintenance management need to add a resistant temperature detector and proximity sensor to detect failure.
