Abstract

Jalan SW Pranoto, Jalan Pasar Besar dan Jalan Zainal Arifin merupakan koridor jalan di Kota Malang yang fungsi lahannya didominasi oleh lahan komersil, sehingga memungkinkan masyarakat berjalan kaki untuk menjangkau setiap akses tersebut. Namun, desain jalur pejalan kaki yang belum sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna dan adanya aktivitas lain di jalur pejalan kaki, seperti PKL dan parkir kendaraan bermotor mengakibatkan banyak pejalan kaki menggunakan bahu jalan untuk berjalan kaki. Oleh karena itu, tujuan utama penelitian adalah memperbaiki desain jalur pejalan kaki di kawasan pusat kota menjadi lebih aman, menyenangkan, nyaman dan menarik bagi setiap pengguna jalur pejalan kaki, khususnya anak-anak, orang tua dan kaum difabel. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis behavior setting untuk menganalisis perilaku pejalan kaki dan Importance Perfomance Analysis (IPA) untuk menganalisis persepsi tingkat kepuasan dan kepentingan pejalan kaki terhadap kondisi jalur pejalan kaki. Ada empat variabel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu safety, convenience, comfort dan attractiveness. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penataan jalur pejalan kaki berdasarkan kriteria keamanan meliputi pembagian ruang pejalan kaki dan kendaraan, perbaikan jalur pejalan kaki yang rusak, penyediaan fasilitas dan marka penyeberangan, penyediaan kereb, dan penyediaan marka untuk kaum berkebutuhan khusus. Kriteria kesenangan mencakup penataan jalur pejalan kaki yang bebas dari gangguan dan hambatan. Kriteria kenyamanan mencakup penataan tanaman peneduh, penyediaan tempat duduk, tempat sampah, perambuan dan halte angkutan umum. Kriteria menarik mencakup penataan fasilitas pelengkap jalur pejalan kaki.

English Abstract

Jalan SW Pranoto, Jalan Pasar Besar and Jalan Zainal Arifin are part of corridor in the city centre of Malang city. The land functions of this corridor dominated by commercial and service functions, so the people reached any access by walking. The design of pedestrian-way was not comfortable for pedestrian-way users. There are so many illegal activities in the pedestrian-way, such as street vendors and illegal parking of motorcycle. It caused the users of pedestrian-way used the roadside to walking. The main purpose of the research is to improve the design of pedestrian-way in the city centre to be safe, comfort, convenience and attractive for the user of pedestrian-way, especially for children, elderly people, and disabled people. This study used behavior setting analysis to analyze the user of pedestrian-way behavior and it also used Importance Perfomance Analysis (IPA) to analyze the perception of satisfaction and interest of the pedestrian way users on the condition of pedestrian-way. Four variables used in this study, such as safety, convenience, comfort, and attractiveness. The results showed that the design of pedestrian way based on safety criteria, including separation lane for pedestrian way users and car users, the improvement of pedestrian-way conditions, the provision of facility and pedestrians crossing, the availability of curb, and the availability of disabled path for disabled people. Convenience criteria include the arrangement of pedestrian-way that was free from annoying activities. Comfort criteria, including the arrangement of plants, bench, bins, signage and shelter. Attractiveness criteria include the arrangement of street furniture.
