Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan menganalisis pengaruh kepemimpinan transformasional dan motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan Hotel Kartika Graha Malang baik melalui ataupun tanpa melalui kepuasan kerja. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel 78 karyawan Hotel Kartika Graha Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan pendekatan explanatory study dan metode analisis PLS untuk uji signifikan serta Uji sobel untuk uji mediasinya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan, tetapi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja. Selanjutnya motivasi kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kedua variabel, yakni kinerja karyawan serta kepuasan kerja. Selanjutnya, kepuasan kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Kepuasan kerja memediasi secara penuh pengaruh kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap kinerja karyawan, sedangkan kepuasan kerja memediasi secara parsial pengaruh motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan. Tidak signifikannya pengaruh kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap kinerja karyawan disebabkan karena karakteristik dari indikator kepemimpinan transformasional, yakni individualized consideration belum dijalankan secara optmial di dalam organisasi Hotel Kartika Graha Malang.
English Abstract
This research aims to examine and to analyse the influence of transformational leadership and work motivation on employee performance Hotel Kartika Graha Malang either through or without through job satisfaction. This study used a sample of 78 employees of Hotel Kartika Graha Malang. This research applies quantitative analysis by using explanatory study. The data is analysed by using PLS for significanty test and Sobel test for mediating test. The result shows that transformational leadership has no significant influence toward employee performance but has significant influence toward job satisfaction. Nevertheless, work motivation has significant influence toward both employee performance and job satisfaction. Moreover, job satisfaction has significant influence toward employee performance. Job satisfaction is also fully mediated the influence of transformational leadership toward employee performance and partially mediated the influence of work motivation toward employee performance. The indicator that causes the non-significant influence of the transformational leadership toward employee performance is individualised consideration, which is not running optimally in Hotel Kartika Graha Malang.
